1. DMX is just saying what most of the people I know have said about Drake. I'm not as repulsed by him as they seem to be, but hey - different strokes.

Only if they glow in the dark...
I didn't see it as her refusing to do promotion, as I saw it more as her not willing to do more than what was necessary. And, well, I can't say I blame her if she'd rather make money hosting her then-talk show over going on an over-the-top asskissing spree that wouldn't have benefitted her career in the long run.
A mess, indeed.
I was a Stringer Bell fan by miles, but I'll admit that Wee-Bey is a looker (especially in that old Mya video).
It may be utterly naive, but I am far more secure in rallying for Ms. Davis' talent to be recognized in roles that are worthy than I am in celebrating a shitastic one.
I used to think so, until I finally got hip to what many people have been saying for years about her personality. I don't think she's nearly the terrible actress that so many say that she is, but I'm not going to act as if her prettiness is the only reason why she is disliked by both women and men.
The Great Debaters almost five years ago - which he also directed.
No problemo. ;)
Oh, that's exactly why they gave it to him (that and the fact that Russell Crowe fucked himself royally).
I understand what you meant. I just think that at the end of the day, one of that man's two Oscar will be defined by a role that was beneath him.
I'm not seeing the problem here, as the point that I've made is that I choose not to support the roles that these folks are playing in spite of said roles being played by talented Blacktresses that deserve better.
I can't get past the fact that they chose to award him for playing a Big Bad Negro stereotype over playing Malcolm X or Rubin Carter, no matter how overdue he was for a Best Actor statue.
"Mo'Nique didn't even have a film career before her Oscar win."
I saw it as more like she wasn't willing to go above and beyond to kiss folks' ass for an Oscar and was upfront about that. I'm no fan of the woman, but the fact that she let everyone know that she was well aware of how the industry treats Blacktresses by not playing that game has earned some of my respect.
Not for that role in Training Day, he didn't.
No progress at all as far as I am concerned, which is why I won't be rooting for either Blacktress to win Oscars this Sunday. I don't do this out of spite towards them, but out of spite towards Hollywood for insisting on rewarding talented Blacktresses in demeaning roles should've died when Hattie McDaniel did.
You're welcome.
The shark jumped in Season 3 when:
