Why is the new MINI Countryman classified as a “Small Car” when the nearly identically sized and form factored BMW X1 and X2 crossover SUVs built on the same platform in the same factory are “Small SUVs”?
Forces you say?
I was so busy following my own investigative deep dive that I didn’t refresh and spot Theoretics’ comment.
They made an old-timey illustrated map for the Kickstarter but given the stylistic choices it’s difficult to figure out exactly where their acre of land lies other than on the riverfront?
Average price of a new car only $48k! Cray.
No, I’d totally blame that campaign for pulling off publicity stunts like this. Pilots know damn well it’s prohibited airspace but he probably told them to do it anyway so everyone in the DC and Milwaukee areas could see their ingloriously branded aircraft flying overhead. Free fucking advertising.
Guessing you couldn’t plug it in much if at all? What’s the EV/gas MPG split since Audi doesn’t like to inform you of that aggregate in-car?
...only PHEV from Audi...
Audi kept the e-tron PHEV party going in Europe with the all-new A3 Sportback TFSIe toting a bigger battery pack (37-40 miles on electric) but other than the Q5 none of their hybrids were brought across the pond.
Fast forward even a few years and quickly we’ll see how much “quality” went into Ford’s Maverick cost cutting measures.
But NOBODY else has a 40MPG+ hybrid truck, even if it’s a compact unibody.
Jalop’s writeup just wasn’t as clear...

MotorTrend: “All-wheel-drive models receive a bump to 4,000 pounds with the…

Gotta love Daily Mail’s clickbait headline! :D
“At least 20 of the airline’s flight attendants have been injured this summer by cans that exploded as they were opening them. The airline, which confirmed the problem to The Washington Post, believes the cans became too hot before being loaded on board those flights.”
“Fiat posting triple-digit growth” — hahaha! Temper that massive sounding statement with the real numbers — 119% growth for Fiat (16200% jump for the 500 alone is sales of 163 vs 1 in Q2-2023) equals a grand total of 316 cars!
Yikes! No thank you! My 60 mile round trip DC beltway commute was bad enough with a manual transmission, then I burned through a factory 48k mile warranty in two years!
