I saw an indicator come on only after the cyclist was in lane. (the light that came on before was part of the brake indicator) Then, after the cyclist stopped, the Hyundai continued to merge into him.

Cyclists have all the rights to the road that cars do. The Hyundai was being EXTREMELY pushy, and threatening the cyclist with its lane changing and following distance (forcing the cyclist out of his lane). It's dangerous, stupid, and didn't get the Hyundai driver any closer to where he wanted to be anyway.

Years ago, I was riding on one of my favorite short rides. Came up to an intersection of a major highway that isn't often traveled (back country, 55mph road), and stopped to look both ways before crossing.

It gets more tiresome on an 8,000mi trip, trust me.

I recently drove across the US and back in a 2002 Ford Focus sedan. Fun, reliable, and great gas mileage, but I wouldn't do it again in a car that size again for one reason:

My god, even Lowey's 507 has a mustache.

AMEN! The RS excites me, but I would never ever consider one. Not that I could afford or find one, anyway.

I'm sure Ford could get you going with an automatic given your situation - if not, I'm definitely sure there's an aftermarket solution.

As with most things in F1, I believe it was a move toward safer cars.

They probably would have anyway.

Good idea, poor implementation. Distracted drivers don't often know that they are distracting themselves, and if they are they should simply pull over rather than shout to the world "I'm a danger to you!"

Dear Joel,

I see 'em all over New York state.

In ID, this is called an emotional sketch. It gets the feeling - the soul, if you will - of the product across. As things move into meatspace and become intertwined with human factors and engineering limits, it will radically change.

Years ago, Guster deterred illegal downloads by flooding the Kazaa/torrent scene with their new album. Only instead of the vocal tracks, all they got was meows.

I disagree with the 'considerably better over time'. Every other week it seems new issues rumble up from the deep. Now tags are removed every time you edit. Links, images, videos often don't post. People get angry because he's trying to START A CAR COMPANY, yet he doesn't know how to drive a proper one. He designed a shitty car, but he can't be fucking bothered to drive a basic one.
