@sumocat: I'm right there with you. I have a small kitchen with limited space - I thought about getting a rice cooker, but then I realized something: If you "follow the stovetop directions on the bag", the damn stuff cooks in a pot. Crazy, right? It made the concept of a rice cooker irrelevant, and a waste of money

@Chroma: Anything you can make in a rice cooker, I can make in a pot on my stove. Saying otherwise is just giving up and accepting a complete lack of cooking talent.

@Rybones2112: No doubt! These companies thrive on creating products that look great and have little concern with long-term aesthetics and reliability. They can also use obscure manufacturing processes because they only have to sell a handful at a high price to make the process worthwhile.

@Rybones2112: Technically, it's a week or two of labor then many weeks of the product sitting around to cure the finish. A finish that will likely wear poorly with years of regular use

I am in love with this product. I have white accents on my road bike (bar tape, saddle), and they get DIRTY. Once a week, a quick wipe-down with the MCME gets the ride looking pristine once more.

@djdare: These people aren't preparing last night's vomit for today's breakfast here - they're using products packaged for human consumption. Raw eggs should be safe to eat, albeit with a higher risk of salmonella. This company produced an astronomical risk due to improper health and safety. And as Rabid Penguin

@ri59: Nowhere on the package of eggs in my refrigerator does it say to cook thoroughly/to a specific temperature before consuming. Meat has this warning, sure.

@ri59: Tell that to lovers of runny yolks.

"Dedicated Shutter Button"

@MANIKENZ: The very same - still not loading for me though =/

I was going to link to The Stinky Meat Project, but sadly it seems the website is no longer.

@Lord_Data ∞: I appreciate the visual example, but lord that woman was annoying. Asking questions that she should have answers to and drawing conclusions that have no basis in fact. Also, I'm unsure what valuable knowledge an overweight woman can impart to others about dieting.

I love the odd proportions and the big scattered windows! Plus being on a farm, it oozes juxtaposed qualities.

Beds should be investments, not gadget docks.

@yearofthe: Not that I condone it at all, but some trains aren't 30-45 seconds. I have a freight train company that rolls slowly through my city, often around rush hour. It's the difference between 5 minutes early and 15 minutes late. 1.5+ mile long trains traveling at ~15mph, then the associated traffic backup

Now, how do I make astronaut ice cream?

This magsafe business is ridiculous. Apple somehow owns a patent for it when deep fryers have had the same type of connectors years before. The only difference in Apple's patent is the inclusion of the words "electronic device" in place of "deep fryer".

@fleanine: "Music by: Buddy Collette". Stick around for the credits, man!

I've always loved The Core. Glad to see Rat's big scene up on this list!
