I know I had read it somewhere else like C&D or something, but from the googles this is what I could find. Its behind a paywall but heck its in the title of the article:

Disagree somewhat, I think their marketing works, but its just not enough to get over the stink of unreliability, and also the fact they straight up targeted a segment that is dominated by companies (BMW, Mercedes, Audi) that have WAY more resources to do it better.
I was like you, manual or nothing. Then I drove the Quadrifoglio in Race mode, and forgot about the missing clutch pedal. Bought a 2020 and love every minute of driving it.
Interestingly the V6 in the Ghibli was developed by Maserati, Ferrari offered the cylinder head design from the F154, the blocks are cast right here in the US in Indiana, and sent to Ferrari to be assembled. It would be kind of a stretch to call it a Ferrari engine, but many do.
For the record the engine was developed by Fiat at Alfa Romeo’s direction for the Giulia/Stelvio and was then expanded (and produced in the US too now) in other FCA (now Stellantis) models.
I have a 2020 Giulia Quadrifoglio and its been dead reliable. And I drive it hard and put it away wet.
I very stupidly had been waiting to re-buy a Saturn (I had a Japanese one back in the day) as well as get into a TurboDuo. Was waiting until I’d have more time to play the games. Now the Turbo Duo is straight up insane even not that good games are around $100 and Saturn is getting prohibitive as well. And yeah I sold…
Major major F640-643 vibes. Love it
Not sure about the block but the cylinder heads are practically identical between the 07K and Lamborghini V10. Interestingly enough the Lamborghini part number for the head starts with “07L”, VW head is “07K”.
so $150k after markups? And will the frame bend over jumps like the original Raptor?
Exactly. I believe the LT5 in the 90-95 ZR1 also had the starter there.
I live on Long Island, in many areas this shit is normal. Like I literally sometimes feel like the only white guy who is not racist.
This! So much this! The assumption of quality is “well if X part fails, its 20 minutes and 2 bolts to change it” exchange X with Alternator, Starter, Power steering pump, etc. Now as for how many times I’ve had to change ANY of those things on any vehicle I’ve owned that was built before MY 2000? I don’t think I’ve…
I wouldn’t feel like a Jerk, what I would do is ask the cost of the next order and if they aren’t an asshole who ordered $46 worth of coffee I would give the full amount to the barista as a tip, and insist its taken that way for them, not some dude behind me who may not even know any better.
And yet in my Firehouse we have a 2007 2500HD Pickup with only 30k miles that runs and drives like it has 530k miles on it. We beat the balls off of it. Depends on the fire department, and how busy/active they are.
Price it cheap enough I would buy one. My daily commute is like 4 miles. Even my old commute of 11 miles. I could plug it in once or twice a week and be fine. By cheap enough meaning it would be something that I don’t care too much about, and allows me to keep my nice car nice.
Battlecruiser 3000AD: Star Citizen
Not sure if this has been pointed out as comments don’t work right for me here, but you do know the McLaren that built this car has literally 0 to do with McLaren Racing, right? asc McLaren modified many cars for GM in the 80's and 90's, and others. They even had their own special edition Fox Body Mustang.
Been there. One week old Mercedes E350 I had. Guy rearends me in a new Sentra. Very minor but bumper is scratched up, popped off the fender. He pushes the bumper back onto the fender it pops in hes like “see its like new, have a good one”. I’m like hold the fuck on guy. “Oh its just a few scuffs” This car is a WEEK…
Nice clickbait headline and slanty article. Good job ignoring the facts to fit the anti-cop narrative. Cops aren’t angels, nobody is, but taking a fairly clear case and pushing it as anti-cop as you can go is just some shit reporting.
