Unfortunately it is not how the future is heading. Instead of ownership, it becomes licensing. Remember the thing about music CDs back in a day? That we own the medium, but not the content? Software as a service is currently very popular and hardware as service is getting traction.

Seeing such a big crowd, I wouldn’t be want to be stopped by it. Seeing all that violent behavior on the news, I don’t blame him for trying to get out of there as fast as possible. It would take one person to identify him as a hate target and his life could easily be in danger.

But is it road legal? It looks like nice grocery geter or train station commuter car

That actually was one of my primary reasons to AVOID BMW.

So previous participants in record settings weren’t Jerks ?

I was never fan of Fast and Furious inspired NFS games. I am stuck in old ages were NFS4:High Stakes were the greatest (PS version of NFS:HP2 was good too)

I was really looking to get some insight into AWD available. I loved 50/50 split in my old A4 and I heard new ones used hydraulic haldex like system. Hopefully S4 retained all-time quattro. Good points on 8-speed transmission. I seen that kind of transmission practically trash the car (such as Buick).

Unfortunately, car makers are eyeing market trend of licensing model.

Maybe if US government got their databases in order, we wouldn’t have such a big problem with undocumented issues, let it be immigration, criminal, civil, etc.

I know many people with undocumented status. They got their licenses in less strict states or use “international variants”

That’s nothing new.

You could buy Holden Commadore in USA?

I drove Opel in Germany and loved the car. Paired with manual transmission it was fun, elegant car that felt stable on Autobahn. But American offering was weak. Buick badge already reduces appeal (I am not that old) and transmission choice killed all the fun. Lastly, wife said NO.

Alphanumeric names are actually not bad at all.

I really like that TourX, but if they only sold it with similar config to Opel, they maybe I could convince wife to get it. As it is in USA, it is quite disappointing.

It can work as command vehicle, auxiliary supply truck, but I don’t see it as full time fire fighting vehicle. Most fires take extended time to control and then extinguish and require to be on site for hours.

I bet majority of non-commercial truck owners in US of A do not use them for intended purpose.

Too many design cues from Tesla, definitely pass

I drove on autobahn few times and it is amazing experience. But it is not for everybody. I got a rental slow BMW, and was nice to push it to limits, but I only did it one way. Pedal to metal is nice, but seeing fuel gauge going down in real time is not pleasant. Especially when fuel is so damn expensive.
Driving

I wonder how much gems we have in Jamaica bay in NYC. I was helping recovering some interesting vehicles found there. Many idiots used it as dumping ground for their boats, but you can also find cars there. Apparently, bay once froze over and many people have bright idea to go over the ice rink.
