I have used hockey pucks for mounts when in a pinch and they will probably work a little better and maybe absorb more vibrations than wood.

Get some of these guys and bolts that match the size, drill hockey puck with one size smaller bit, then heat up steel spacer and press it into the hockey puck then just get bolts

Important data discovery:

Jackass with cars was cancelled when Clarkson punched a guy.

A Momentary Lapse of Traction

All in all, he’s just another tire in the wall.

Mustang larval form?

Burnouts don’t work in S2000s unless you got POWER.

Not just an Iron Duke... an Iron Duke and a 3-speed!

This thing had me until I saw the motor. If you’re going through the trouble of an engine swap in a ‘40 Ford, the engine bay will easily hold a SBC. This comes from the voice of experience. Crack pipe.

The only nice thing I can say about this is that it killed a 1983 Pontiac Phoenix.

all this work and and Iron duke engine? are you kidding me? this thing is gotta be slower than sand dune migration and for $17k?!?!? so much CP it seems to have awoken the dancing spirit of Rob Ford

Reading through this I kept thinking, you know what, this is a decent looking and well-built project, and while it’s not worth $17,000 to me I could see how someone might...

I’ve read the headline 4 times now and - perhaps due to limited caffeine intake (west coast) - I still don’t get it.

Hmmm... I did the same thing... but mine was *only* 900 watts in a Ford Festiva... and I managed to avoid damaging my hearing.

I’m just glad newer cars have better stereos. I’ve still got stereo system v3.0 in my 99 Dakota. Its due for a refresh. But my newer cars, meh, I don’t even bother. They are nice enough from the factory.

I’d tell myself the same thing. “Buy one 10" sub and put the rest in sound dampening and high quality 6.5" components. Asking people to repeat everything makes you seem dumb, not hearing impaired!”

My sound system cost me more than than the car I put it in. Worth it? Worth it.

What? I can’t hear you old man

Had a large fund saved up to put a nice system in my 93 Sunbird coupe. Ended up blowing it all on 40's and weed, which in retrospect, was the better option.

Guilty of the huge ass system, and can thank it for my tinnitus. Never did the neon though.
