This, 100%.

Yes, we have a wonderfully admiring-yet-patronizing relationship with “little old ladies,” especially the “spunky” sort. We all do it. And it’s really an extension of how women are minimized and women’s power disregarded. These women were able to exploit the assumption that little old ladies are just dotty old birds.

Other than she’s an innocuous looking older white lady, how does she consistently get by both TSA and then the gate agent to get onto planes?

I’d more put it down to being well past that magical age at which women become invisible. A late-aged lady who isn’t creating a fuss might as well be a ghost.

My second thought, right after, “wtf - by the time I make it to the gate of an int’l flight, I’ve shown my passport and boarding pass to 600 people.” And then she’s able to waltz on to a BA flight to London out of O’Hare - and GET A SEAT?

Those officers and agents are selling a false sense of security. In recent sting operations the TSA have missed as high as 95% of dangerous items intentionally placed for them to find. Someone can put a gun in their purse and the TSA is more likely to miss it than catch it. But put a novelty Batman weapon in your

she holds out in the back and once boarding is complete she finds an empty seat... I travel for work and the fact this shit for brains can actually get passed TSA without a boarding pass at many check points at ORD is worrying. We might need to bring back those ORD police officers that beat the guy off of the united

Sneaks on a Plane

Yup! I remember being really frustrated because it just kept happening and nothing was really being done about it. But then what possibly could be done about it? You can’t just lock her away. Ultimately it would have to come down to her going to jail, but she’s just going to get out and do it again. Maybe just let her

Except in practice the female lead characters spent most of the show wringing their hands and hacking into their own lives to make everything easier for the beautiful, oblivious, and arrogant dumdums they got paired with as their boyfriends/husbands.

Hopefully, they will heat the set this time as it looked awful chilly on the original show.

Wait, isn’t that pretty much a description of the original show?

That ground was covered a little in the original though though flashbacks and other world-building. They’d have to make sure to always fit things into the established timeline, be on guard to not create continuity errors that sci-fi/fantasy nerds seem to always fixate on. I’d rather see them be freer with a fresh

a charmed in the 70s that focused on the mom and gram raising three daughters would’ve been interesting. but i guess there wouldn’t be enough fighting the “patriarchy” even though it’s right after the first wave of feminism.

Here’s the thing tho-he was cleaning up so why didn’t he empty, clean and put the crockpot away?! All of which would have entailed UNPLUGGING it!! Otherwise, you’ve just got leftover chili drying out and hardening in your crockpot. I guess he was saving something for Rebecca to do? #itsjacksfault

I hate things that are blatantly sappy and dramatic and that are advertised as such. It’s that whole representation thing and I personally can’t believe people can relate because our family masks everything with dark humor and sarcasm.

Listen, I worry about everything. All the time. Enough for the whole country.

I’m the same — but I’ll use it at home on the weekend, but go and run quick errands while it is on. Part of the reason is my work day is very long with my commute and things would be on for 12 hours and be ruined and part of it is I am scared that it will melt or otherwise catch fire and burn down my apt.

Are we long lost sisters?

Ughhh my mother, the mother of all paranoia, has always had this crippling fear of her crockpot. She will only use it while she is home AND in the kitchen/living room, within sight. She won’t leave eyeline for the entire cooking process, which defeats the entire point of a of a crockpot.
