Mercury Retrograde

Starring you for “Office Space” reference.

That and calling Coulter a “garage sale Barbie” who “crawls out of her roach motel.”

Re: Tamara. I remember one episode a while back where Vicki called Tamara to go out for drinks and Tamara was all virtuous: “I’m home alone tonight so I’m cooking an egg white omlet with asparagus,” but I liked to think she was chowing down on a Big Mac.

Frightening. I wish I could react with the Facebook “wow” emoticon.

Agree to everything your said plus how insufferable they all are when together talking about the college years and the “friend group” overandoverandoverandoveragain. I can get that 20somethings might still be fixated on college as “the best time of their life,” maybe into early 30s. But these people are 40 and still

I’ve spend nearly 3 hours at a trampoline playland waiting for my nephew. I paid for 3 hours so his ass is jumping for 3 hours. So basically I’m in the third circles of Hades. Too bad these places don’t offer booze and an uber ride home. Kidding, sort of....

That’s what happens when you put interns in charge of your Twitter account. I expected this delicacy to be bullet-shaped pops made of pricey champs and exotic fruit, from a custom Williams-Sonoma mold, not a fruit-flavored pop dunked in a wineglass. C’mon Good Housekeeping; serving champs in wineglasses is so gauche.

After watching the trailer out of morbid curiosity I took a hard pass. Looked like a high school musical in which the leads get sick at the last minute and understudies are thrust into the roles. NOPE.

Wait a few months and you’ll be able to scavange one from the dumpster behind Barnes and Noble. I’m strictly against book burning, and not one for bonfires, but I’d gladly burn these garbage books in my front yard in a pile so high that the neighbors call the fire department. #complicitanduseless

Same here. Raised by a single mom who had to get a job after high school to help pay for her brother’s college education. Somehow she found a way to send me and my sister to private schools and all I heard my whole life is that I wasn’t “living up to my potential.” I even have a master’s degree but haven’t done

Point taken! Tom may have gotten sucked in for the luxury and celeb factors, but this type of entertainment shitshow has J-R’s name written all over it.

The entire scheme is so ridiculous, it seems like something Tommy from Parks and Rec would have tried to pull off.

Travel Channel is also a gym favorite, but HGTV seems to have fewer pizza commercials. But still that’s better than Planet Fitness, which serves actual pizza at the gym.

So much yes, especially the hostage situation comment. I love watching HGTV at the gym, and one boring night on the treadmill I happened on this smarmy show. I was like “WTF am I watching, an extended Secret deodorant commercial where the woman is powerful and in charge, and the man is so doofy he can’t get dressed in

I just finished “Girls in Trucks” by Katie Crouch (selected because I heard of her on a “This Amercan Life” episode about two women named Katie Crouch, one a published author. As an aspiring fiction writer (and former lit major), I thought the prose was so poetic and made me a little jealous because that’s the writing

Thank you. Part of my volunteer work was attending court victim impact panels where those who received a DUI were required to attend. The fact that there were so many stories of families affected by drunk driving, and that the room was packed with offenders, shows there is still more work to do.

Agreed. My father was killed by a drunk driver, I’ve volunteered for MADD. There is no excuse for drunk driving. None. And the worst are the people who say “Oh, I was only a little buzzed and I was really careful. I didn’t hit anyone.” They get lucky a few times and they think they have some superpower that allows

She was obviously very busy tweeting Frederick Douglass to ask him why he didn’t show up to this important meeting of black educators. He’s doing such fine work, he would have been an asset to the group.
