They really need to update the S and make the X a more conventional 3 row large crossover. The X is in a segment that prints money but I think the weirdness is a turnoff to some folks. Falcon doors are lame (and expensive) and Elon needs to accept that.

Yeah. I bet that mechanic saw a college kid and wanted to screw you out of a few bucks. It’s a shame that there’s so many shady mechanics. I have a lot of trust issues with mechanics, but when I find an honest one, I stick with them.

I think the NYS inspection was a pretty good level of safety without being German levels of onerous. I live in Ontario now and you only have to pass safety when the vehicle is transferred to another person. I think they should do something like the NY inspection here on a 1-2 year basis.

All very good points. 

Programs like this are encouragement for those on the fence about leaving to leave. If the thought is whether to work one more year or retire early, the decision is easy. If somebody wants to transition to another career but doesn’t have a job lined up, a few months salary to help them find a job is great.
