Or even just pulling the fuel pump relay.
Or even just pulling the fuel pump relay.
Yep. To make long distance towing more pleasant, we need either a big increase in battery energy density or some form of swappable batteries.
I’m not trying to be snarky or pretend to be a big truck guy, I’m not. What I mean is that the Lightning will be great for most truck users. However, those with say a camper will not have a great time. Even if they only use their camper for 3-4 weekends a year, they will have to a) have an ICE tow vehicle, or b) spend…
Ford never has problems launching new vehicles, right? All joking aside, I bet these are going to be everywhere in a couple of years. In about 10 years, I’ll be looking at them on Autotrader, considering making bad decisions.
Tesla certainly screwed up by showing off the CT. It is just too polarizing. New technology sells better when wrapped in something familiar. Almost everybody in North America has either owned or ridden in an F150. It is going to be Ford’s biggest EV by sales very soon.
Amazing. I wonder if buddy realizes why the range is half of what the factory claims.
Agreed. It’s fine for the typical suburban family going to Home Depot and hockey practice but I don’t see people using it to tow a boat or camper any appreciable distance.
Interesting. That makes a lot of sense.
The great thing about liquid fuels for aviation is that as you burn fuel, weight decreases and the plane gets a little more efficient as you go. I don’t see battery electric planes being a thing unless energy density goes up exponentially.
My rebuttal would be that the mother was incapacitated and the cops were calling on her behalf. I am sure that if she hadn’t be run over, she would be on the phone with VW (or whoever their service provider is) and then I would certainly want them to do the right thing. It cost the company nothing to turn on the…
I think you’re on the wrong side of this argument. I would argue that corporate greed kept them from helping find a lost child until a fee had been paid. I think VW’s service provider could also afford to skip the fee, help some people who were victims of a crime and generate some goodwill.
So I just toast my bread, pre-buttered, in a cast iron skillet. Threw out the toaster because it took up space and only does one thing.
The McLaren F1 is the car that got me interested in cars. It was obviously a work of passion by Murray and co. They seem to work toward the goal of making the best driver’s car that they can, not just make the fastest, techiest, or most opulent.
You know, we could get a bunch of black Civics with sweet underglow, use them to rob a few of those trucks you mentioned and probably make a lot of money...
I love YOU too much to argue.
Damn. I hope the author reads your comment. You did a much better job!
A full 50% of my fleet has no radio. My old CJ5 wasn’t optioned with the available AM radio and my MGB has no radio because some previous owner ripped out all of the electronics in what I believe was a fit of rage and madness.
It’s almost like they designed a program that generates good headlines but is can’t actually be used. They get good PR and it doesn’t cost them a dime in tax refunds!
When I first got my WRX, they forgot to order the set of snow tires I had requested. The summer tires it came with were pretty terrible in even a light dusting of snow. Snow tires are great though. It is better than my TJ Wrangler in all road conditions except really deep snow.
