Some of the Al jokes were along the lines of ‘Al is the competent one and Tim doesn’t realize it’. Those ones were funny. The continuous jokes about Al’s mom were decidedly not funny.

Haha. You must have been born around the same time as me. Roughly 1984ish?

It seems that lots of guys in white collar jobs have a certain insecurity around the blue collar types. They feel the need to drive a truck to show that they are still ‘tough’.

Yeah, but you can’t grate cheese with the Ford’s grille.

I live in Canada but most of my family is in the US. Before the market went nuts, I compared leases on both sides of the border and it looked to me that the US had much better deals. Not sure if they used a higher residual or better incentives or what.

Hybrids are also better for folks that live in apartment buildings or do not have a garage with a plug.

The aerodynamics won’t be great.

Yes! 6 feet should be the minimum bed length.

That’s what they make sawzalls for!

Yep. Schools teach this stuff. I remember learning how to calculate compounding interest. Then doing worksheets on how much you pay back if you borrow X dollars for Y interest. You can lead a kid to school but you can’t make them pay attention.

Part of the reason that Vancouver real estate is so expensive is that homes there were used to move money out of China. It got so bad that the government has passed a law to prevent foreign buyers from buying homes. I had read that in 2015, about 1/3 of all the money spent on realestate in Vancouver was from overseas.

2005 base model Civic 4 door, automatic. It remains the only automatic car I owned. My only reason for owning it was that it was free. I had just moved to Canada after marrying a Canadian gal. I had sold my Jetta GLI and we decided my wife would get a new car and I would use the Civic. It served me for a few years so

Around the time the Queen died, I was talking to a British couple, one suggested that the remaining royals be ‘Stuffed and put on display in a museum’. There are folks out there who are better than me because they are smarter, more talented, or did more good deeds, but I will never accept that someone is considered

The world will ALWAYS need plumbers and electricians.

Agreed. We had a driver who was doing personal business in the company truck. When we installed GPS tracking we realized that he was being REALLY shady and getting up to no good. Just like body cameras on police, ELD’s keep everybody honest.

You’re right. I liked old low-budget Top Gear when they did actual car reviews peppered with the occasional bit of fun.

I mean that’s pretty much your fault. Why didn’t you just stop growing at a normal size? I stopped at just over 6 foot. Could have kept going, but decided not to.

I have only bought one car from a dealer. I have bought probably about 10 private sale. Never had a problem. You can usually tell if someone is going to be shady in about 5 minutes of talking to them. Dealers are more practiced at not coming off as shady.

Imagine if it had 2 plugs per cylinder like the Hemi’s...

You damn Californians. First you complain that there’s no rain. Now you complain that there’s too much.
