The feel of a high seating position is a funny thing. My WRX is larger in every dimension except height than my TJ. In the TJ, I just feel bigger compared to the other cars on the road. That gives a sense of perceived safety that I have to remind myself is not merited. The human brain is a funny thing.

I test drove a Stinger. It was fine and on paper better than my WRX. In real life, I would thake the Subi any day over the Kia

We use rupture disks in our plant for chemical reactors that do exothermic reactions. When the 13 psi is hit, they sound like a shotgun going off.

Of course they are all named Kyle or Chad.

No tetanus vaccines for me. I won’t put that junk in my body.

The lack of support means they bounce around a bit though.

I have a bikini top for my CJ5 and I am tall enough that above 40 mph it just slaps the top of my head. It’s pretty annoying.

I LOVE my TJ. I also have a CJ5 but it is a lot less comfortable/safe. I just bought  an MGB and will be going to pick it up Saturday which is pretty exciting. At this point, I have more convertibles than regular cars. It’s actually a pretty strange scenario when I think about it.

I feel that explosives are difficult to engineer into a vehicle that will be used for 2 decades or more. Explosives, by their very nature, are usually very unstable. Moisture will eventually get everywhere and that was the root cause of the Takata nightmare. I think that there should be some sort of mandatory

Haha yeah.

People that go into journalism often aren’t big into math.

I love watching WRC racing. I don’t have cable, but I have an Antenna and a Roku for streaming. I would love it if they would live stream their races on Netflix or Amazon. Even a proprietary app with ads would be okay. I don’t want to pay for yet another streaming service.

Imagine the microbiome living on the breathalyzer in a rental Camry...

Well, hello. That sure is an unusually long necklace you have wrapped around your hand.

The BEST colour combination.

I am totally stealing the line about the difference between taught and learned.

I spell it twoonie. Makes more sense to me. I didn’t know we had that rule though.

They do teach that in most schools. It was certainly required in high school in NY state. The problem is that a lot of high schoolers don’t pay attention.

I have a stock, period correct CJ5 and it feels tiny next to a modern Wrangler. Just this past weekend, a woman walked by our house and said it was ‘cute’. It’s pretty much a chick magnet.

I disagree. I think it is more of a greyscale than black a white. For example, I had an XJ Cherokee with 3 inches of lift and 31 inch tires. Nothing monstrous. It handled normal city and highway driving just fine. I also had some extra lights on it, but kept the covers on while I was on the road.
