I like how lightly Deadspin treads in these types of posts, trying to justify the NBA’s thoughts behind an unjustifiable position. However, in other similar moral challenging issues (eg Kaepernick), anyone who didn’t fully support him was full-on racist... there was no attempt to see what the other side was thinking.
