This drives me berserk about so-called historical movies. In the past, people wore hats, wigs, kerchiefs, or some other kind of headgear almost all the time, including in bed. Even people who had no shoes wore hats.

Is that actually a fedora? Most “fedora” pictures have Trilbies in them.

It’s like how people confuse a Goatee with a Van Dyke

I think you’re misunderstanding. (Maybe I’m not being clear?) People are believing this rumor because they believe she was correct about details like Boston and voiced protagonists. I am stressing that Kotaku reported those things first not because we deserve credit but because that’s where the rumormonger saw them in

Ordinarily I might agree but she blatantly uses Kotaku at the end to shore up her credibility. I think that entitles Kotaku to respond with a little bit of salt.

The “Male Protag Only” bit outs the list as bullshit.

This is what needs to be trending on Reddit right now. That stupid hoax should be getting as much publicity as it deserves: none.

If there’s one thing I hate about the rumor mill, it’s that everyone can tack on any unannounced information with the disclaimer it’s a rumor. If the information happens to be real, they get all “I SAID IT FIRST!” mentality. If it happens to be wrong, oh well, it was a rumor after all. In other words, either way saves

I don’t consider fire a technology so much as a natural resource. Shaping rocks to hit and scrape stuff with is the oldest, but boring, and also how often do humans use rocks as hand tools nowadays?

I think it would be safe to say that all of these are considered untasteful in lots of places. It’s like socks and sandals.

McHale, while great on Community, can’t really break the smug mold.

Which means nothing. Even if they played Fallout 4 (I suspect that IS true) that doesn’t mean they know the full of it. Offhand, I’m going to guess this is a low level tester and one relatively new to the industry, let’s break down a few of her claims:

Weren’t casting calls issued for both a male and female protagonist? I believe this has already been mentioned on Kotaku. I’m pretty sure this guy is full of it.

I think it’s also because he wasn’t playing the usual disembodied voice narrator in the trailer, but an actual news reporter of some sort.

Whoever wrote this has absolutely no idea how game development works.

People are going to flip their shit if you can only play as a man.
