As someone who modded FO3 and NV extensively, I can assure you that there is SO MUCH going on in the background under the hood in these games that its= is nothing less than a fucking miracle Fallout 3 or NV ran at all on the shit tech of last gen. Im quite honestly surprised the visuals of the game are even this good.

Are the SJWs going to demand the option to configure your pre-war partner and sexual preferences as part of the backstory?

To be fair, all of the known Wonderglue in existence is sitting in a footlocker in my hotel room in Novac...

I believe Jason said in a different thread that the leaked documents he got a hold of also mentioned there being male and female protagonist dialogue, so I wouldn’t worry. Bethesda has had a choice of customization and gender (and with TES, race) since at the very least as far back as Morrowind. It’d be really

It would be a very weird move considering the previous games. I recall that when the first Mass effect game was showing up it took a really long time before they showed any gameplay footage a female main character. So I think their sticking to the male character more as a marketing poster child.

The graphics in Bethesda games have never been cutting-edge. It’s become pretty clear that there are limitations to Creation Kit which make it hard for them to put out something with truly groundbreaking visuals. This game looks like an incremental improvement on Skyrim. But you know what? That’s fine. Creation Kit is

I never cared much for graphics anyways. The game could look exactly like Fallout 3 and I’d be hyped.

Let’s also remember that it is likely that this game world is MASSIVE. Maybe there is no loading and it runs at a solid 60 FPS. If that is the case I think having slightly weaker character models is a worthy trade-off.

Right on the money Jason.I think the people complaining about graphics are either kids or incompetent adults. To put this in prospective I could go back and play Baulder gate 1&2 despite their graphic because those game truly sum up what an RPG is about same with Fo1,2 and tactics. Also you’re judging a game graphics

Yeah, thats what worries me too.

Anybody not satisfied with the graphics will be able to get the graphics enhancement mods that are bound to come sooner or later.

And to be fair- if you compare this trailer to Fallout 3 gameplay, the graphics are a huge upgrade. People just like to complain.

Seems less obvious since they are voicing the character for first time and the leaked document for player seems to indicate they are a guy with a wife and child.

I very much hope F4 does NOT have a set playable character. Fallout and Elder Scrolls games have always been my favorite customization games. Now if they do a mass effect style character that is one person yet still has gender and appearance options, that would be great. But if they lock it to playing that one guy,

Whoa whoa whoa, if we don’t get to make our own characters in FO4 than my hype level went from max to I’m not sure I’m going to buy the game.

Pleeeeasse please just be an example of gaming companies defaulting to white male protagonists in trailers. Please don’t have a preset character you are stuck with. Creating your own Vault Dweller/Chosen One/Lone Wanderer/Courier is half the fun.

It seems like we’re going to get a taste of life before the apocalypse. Maybe Vault 111 is responsible for cryogenic freezing? It’s a concept that hasn’t been done by a vault yet.

I just want to point something out: though I’m hesitant to tell people what they should or shouldn’t criticize, I think it’s... misguided to complain or worry about Fallout 4’s graphics right now. What’s more important is that this trailer looks real, which is more than we could say for all the bullshots and CGI

I remember how Call of Duty tried to hype me up about a dog. Today someone else succeeded in that.
