Pushing equality would make sense ... if all genders were equally repressed. They are not. Men, especially straight men, are not repressed to the same degree nor in the same ways that women are.
Most of what I remember about that game is being enraged about Vaan being the viewpoint character who got in the way of everyone who was a hundred times more interesting. Thanks for explaining why that was.
