A Ford GT as the lead photo - SHOCKER! Way to mix things up!

The names I was called in that bashing post weren’t even amusing, it was just... sad. Do you think its a reflection on the U.S. education system, or just the FoMoCo target demographics' intellect?

Full disclosure: Ford saw that there was a Hellcat article the other day and said “we can’t have that” and provided us with enough money to make sure that that every 5th article on Jalopnik was biased towards the GT this race weekend.

No, no, no - that’s why I corrected myself - I forgot how GT is TOTALLY a car that is currently mass produced and for sale this very moment...... But thank you for going full on Murika on me just to make sure I remembered that.

Most of all, though, it could help prevent other teams from following the GTD-class WeatherTech Porsche’s lead by dropping the series to run somewhere else.

Wait. So the driver of a PROTOTYPE masked as a GT wants his GT to race more like a PROTOTYPE???

How much did Volvo pay you to compare their car’s to Merc??? (Seeing as how I can’t scroll past more than 3 articles on the main page without having one of their ads interrupt).... I just had a Volvo V60 as a rental last and while it was a VERY nice car and I was quite impressed, it is not a Merc. And as an ATS Coupe

Wait - are you confusing a few things there? I thought DPi regs are requiring either a straight-up LMP2 “spec” car, or a “manufacturer” with a GT3-based engine (which is why Honda is fighting for exemptions to use a "stock" P2 tub with their current engine). The “not enough road cars” would apply to a GT car, not a

. . . . . . . . Right. So. Why doesn't NASCAR use grooved tires, and install wipers, windshield demisters, and break lights??? You know... maybe make the "stock" "cars" more "stock"? I've been to plenty of races where cars that have serial numbers from a manufacture have been raced by drivers who get paid a whole lot

I’m with you - it was a game of “which one of these things is not like the others” ...but my commute in the ‘81 from outside of Roc was a little bit longer than yours.

I tend to not hang around much on race day other than swinging by for lunch and stocking up on water; I’ll usually do a lap of the track with the camera and then hang out in the boot for a bit. But last year was the most time I’ve ever spent under a tent at a race for obvious reason, didn’t even bother taking the car

HEY! I was there and 26 at the time!!!!

Went to RIT, but was from Buffalo, so I would come home most weekends. The last week of my final quarter there, I had several projects and a paper all do within two days of each other {per college} which resulted in my sleeping a grand total of 6hrs over three days. Had the brilliant idea to hand in my last project

You posted the photo and knew the name of the color. You act like I take anything on this website seriously.

C7 Jake on a C6 when you can still acquire C6 Jake decals??? *SMH* Poser.

Just the mentality/intelligence level of a Ford supporter.

Next thing you know, a Porsche 911 GTE/LM will win Petit Le Mans overall!!!!!!! That might be the only thing better from a publicity standpoint!!!

If it makes you feel better, you probably won’t need that for long. Assuming that the ACO doesn’t do the right thing and fix the BOP before the race, even still as they sit, by time attrition sets in, you won’t need that for all 24hrs...

I really want to rant and rave here.... but everyone else on this website and every other has already done that for me. But, can we just cut it with the “Woo!!! Go Ford!!!! What a success!!!!” crap and stop pretending they actually earned that? They’re weak. They played a backhanded game to get to the pole. We'll see

Token Corvette/Corvette Racing fan jab: he never thought the car could win, even with Multimatic’s help building a GTE car.... and now that it has, he cannot live in the world he’s altered. He knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.... now he has become
