Leaving by level four or five is about the sweet spot I think, but there are some higher level areas in the Hinterlands that are worth circling back to.

This theory would make the literal final panel of the comic meaningless though, wouldn’t it?

The answer is in the final panel of the original comic

That seems like a bad line of thinking when it comes to discussing and critiquing something as subjective as film.

I don’t think it’s a meaningless question to ask “what, specifically, gave you that impression?”

OK, but like where exactly in their discussion did you get that distinct air?

How DARE they give their thoughts on a movie!

Just so I’m clear, you can’t get over that io9 can’t get over not liking a show.

Haha holy shit dude are you serious right now? You’re trying to zing me by going “OH YEAH SMART GUY, WHAT WERE THESE OTHER SHOWS ABOUT, HUH??”

What are you even talking about at this point?

Do you really think television shows meant for entertainment can’t also have social commentary?

My original comment was thinking that “review bombs” meant users mass submitting negative reviews. It’s a known thing on Steam, I thought that’s what the OP was talking about. Not just general negative press.

I definitely read that headline as “Cool it with all of the stress free non-violent video games, guys” at first lol

Oh I think I misunderstood your point, I read “review bombs” as users submitting a mass volume of negative reviews directly on the site. Not just bad press/bad reviews from the media.

Do review bombs really have that big of an effect though?

“most European cultures don’t dwell on tragedies”

What kind of regular person is infuriated or alienated by a Netflix show backing away from a con panel?

I’m just glad someone is finally sticking up for the little guy: Marvel and ABC.

You should check out Riverdale and The 100 if you think all CW shows look like cheap hot garbage. They actually look really damn good.

It goes beyond ribbing and “teens being teens.” That thing in the tent was full on gay panic, not Stand By Me friendly banter. It comes across even worse than the bathhouse does.
