Makes all of it's cars in the UK (though will be opening up some manufacturing in China for the domestic market), the engineering is based in the UK, recruiting a couple of hundred people a year in the UK; so for all intents and purposes it is :P

And Jaguar Land Rover made a $1.8 billion profit last year. Since when the heck did the UK automotive industry start doing well?!
Agreed. If tech like this forces people to use their flipping indicators I am all for it! Especially when I'm not in a car and trying to cross the road as a cyclist or pedestrian, it gets really annoying. Especially when cars change into a lane at the last minute without indicating.
It's been illiegal in the UK for ages, doesn't stop dangerous idiots doing it though.
I've been to Vancouver and definately didn't see any open war going on!
Definately. +1
Yeah, the bullet found was from a Police gun!

Yes, and bet it's not as cool as my mates Robin with a race engine. 80+ hp or something!
Fair enough!
"Take a look at the UK. They systematically removed the ability for their citizens to arm themselves. And what happened? Mass rapes, assaults, arsons during the recent riot. Citizens were forced to strip down, have their homes/stores looted. "
Under normal driving conditions torque steer is not an issue. Ie, gentle acceleration. And yes, rear wheel drive cars would have increased traction in acceleration due to weight shifting (sorry, sorry got slightly confused, thought HeMan meant extra traction in general), but again, under normal driving conditions it's…
looooool
From a consumer point of view, yes it can be viewed as an automated transmission, from an engineer's or enthusiast's point of view, less so. If anything because if differentiates them from traditional torque converter transmissions.
If I could promote this I would. VW does not hate RWD, just has no need for it.
Jackie Stewert summed it up nicely when he pointed out the problems with Tilke's circuits is that they just don't penalise mistakes. When you can go wide 4 times and not let the person behind you past (Alonso in Abu-dabi) then something stinks.
They would however outlast 2 of those vans. Both mechanically and stylistically.
True :P
Torque Steer? True, in high horsepower cars this can be an issue, but sub 200bhp (ie 95% of family cars) it never will be under normal driving conditions. Heck, Ford produced a FWD Focus with 300bhp+ that although still had torque steer, isn't undrivable because of it. If anything, high-torque/wet road conditions…
Exactly the same with me. Bought Bioshock on a Steam sale because I'd heard so much good stuff about it. Only got 1-2hrs in as it was way too tense for me. Not necessarily sh*t your pants scary, but as I play video games to relax I didn't see the point of making myself deliberately tense and scared.
