I could literally imagine some of these jokes on Family Guy and they'd fit in perfectly. Just throwaway one-liners where the punchline is race/sex/ur fat/blah blah. Stupid.

I think you make a great point. When you talk about people "writing what they know" and Mindy using that as the reason why she's only dated white guys it made me think of what Lena Dunham has said about why there are only white girls on Girls. She stated she couldn't write characters that she wasn't familiar with,

"Is the show self-consciously trying to use irony to deal with a growing concern that it's color-struck?"

I had always wondered WHY there were so many guys on the show — seriously, three male OB/GYNs and two male midwives, and even the nurse is a guy? But you totally nailed it. She wants to be the only important female character. It's the same way her instagram and twitter are just her talking about all the dude writers

Another weird/interesting thing of note: as I remember it, WMDs before we invaded Iraq meant atomic and hydrogen bombs. Now, when you look it up (or when wiley young conservatives try argue with you), WMDs officially include biological/chemical weapons, which Iraq had. It is a pretty well-known fact for people my age

Exactly. He was just an idiot that very terrible and greedy people could easily manipulate. He was the furthest thing from a mastermind. He was just a dumb guy with dumb kids who really wanted to be at home painting cats. Still a terrible person though. He let it all happen.

I agree with you. I wish someone had done that about 5 times at this most recent VMAs. Kanye 4ever

Yes! We got the same lecture. There was a picture of a sperm and a hole in a condom, showing clearly that a sperm would not fit. HOWEVER, the HIV cell was way smaller than the hole so we were lead to believe we could still get HIV pretty easily, even with a condom.

What's funny is Adam-in-character (DeMamp) would totally say ALL of these quotes. DeMamp is trying to be the kind of uber-man like Adam Levine.

As Drake's wife I really do trust him to make good choices and be faithful, but he and I are going to have a talk about this. I'm so sick of hearing about him being with other women via TABLOIDS! We should have a face to face conversation about this. He can come over anytime.

I went down the rabbithole and looked at his website (not just the book one). Almost worth it (?) since I found this awesome tidbit: "He graduated from Tarleton State University, where he spent a lot of time studying the body, especially how it works adn how drugs and chemicals can mess up your insides as well as how

Or for a team of so many women to have at least one female senior leader.

I think the main concern is that senior management is all men, and everyone else is all women. Plus putting them at one end of the picture.... you could pretty much draw a line on the picture where the glass ceiling would be. I don't think it's bad at all that it's a company that is mostly women, or even that they are

Well, I mean, pretty much everyone wants a rainbow loom, after all.

Took me a while, but I think it means "you won't be pretty forever so stop using your pretty whore face to get men to like you and start using your not-having-an-opinion instead."

I was thinking that too! Although an ipod AND guitar AND hampster AND all this stuff is a lot for a plebe, in terms of the mega-rich this is so normal. The little girl asked for a damn backpack and an ipod! I totally knew kids who got backpacks and ipods for Christmas.

For real. People think because she can sing/speak with a southern accent and sings decently that means she can sing the blues/folk/classic rock well. I have a southern accent and don't ever let me sing anything ever.

Mindy Kaling did the same thing when people talked about James Franco's character being raped on her show and the characters/show not doing shit about it. She just deleted the comments though.

I definitely see that in a LOT of ways and I agree with you. In a way it's just signaling "I know these specific ways to act due to my upbringing and education.... and you don't. How pitiful. I will not buy you a present." And it's totally up to the woman to decide, the husband or male partner just kinda leaves it to
