I don't get how people say the lead is glorified. He is portrayed as an awful human being who is a liar, a thief, a drug addict, and an abusive husband and father. He loses everything he worked for because he didn't get out due to pride. I didn't walk away from that movie thinking "Shit, I want to be like him!"
