So hardcore was the FD that Mazda eliminated the factory offered soft-top edition. But today, we’re bringing the sexy back. This 1993 FD, in stunning metallic poop color, is a custom job that lets you catch some rays along with catching some major revs.

...number of times it catches on fire.

In all the instances except one, it's just plain bad driving. Some of the things are basically brain farts, like the car on the tracks or the LA carousel, that many of us might have accidentally done in the same circumstances. However, #6 is just an example of douchebaggery by the officer. What went unsaid was that

It's fairly common practice for officers to run without sirens. I know that in my area, when you hit the sirens, people call 911 to complain about the noise. <sigh>

Around here, it's probably not so much the vehicle that they hate, it's that SUVs are often driven by distracted parents, self-important cell phone addicts, and others that place proper driving as a lower value skill than say, applying makeup in traffic without smearing. Compound the standard anti-SUV sentiment with

...proving once again that the answer to any Jalopnik question is "Miata".

Excellent nomination! I think of this every time I see the Juke R. Am I correct in my recollection that it was a Ford Festiva powered by a Taurus SHO engine?

Pilots are like drivers. There are good ones and not so good ones. This kind of precision flying requires a good one. Hovering is the most difficult thing to do in a helicopter. Add in shifting winds, taking on a load, and surrounding obstacles, and this guy makes it look waaaaaaaaay easier than it is.

Thank you for posting this. I've witnessed this happen, and I can only think that it's karma when it does.

Coinstar.

I don't know why Germans love the numbers, but I can tell you why I do.

But why not just wait 6 months and not deal with it? It's just a Corvette. It's a not a limited edition anything, or even a low-volume exotic. They'll make thousands and thousands of them.

Was I the only one expecting to see waaaaaaaaaay more C&C footage?

It's probably just me, but the hero in the story bears a passing resemblance to Captain America, or at least the recent casting of him...

I think anytime someone starts with "all you have to do..." is not getting off on the right foot. I don't know how someone is supposed to design a dock fit for a nice interior. Every device out there has a different plug in a different spot with a different form factor. I'm sure if IEEE came out with a spec that

I guess if optical clarity isn't important, than tinted safety glasses are both economical, and easily replaceable. For some people, clarity is important.

Thank you. The whole tail light brightness, speed of car, etc is moot. There was a 3000lb piece of steel and plastic in the middle of the road and he hit it.

New Acura have Avengers cred. If you can call that cred.

True. But, horsepower.
