With the caveats that I have not seen the most recent season of Harley Quinn and the available sample size for Velma is very small, while the very high-level similarities you mention may be present, the approach seems to be a lot different.

You might like the book Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero. It’s a similar set up to what you describe, with a now grown up group that’s very similar to the Scooby Gang. It goes in an unusual direction which is very much not Knives Out, but I quite enjoyed it.
Keep staring in awe at the pylons! <3
Yeah, this movie (based on a relatively well-regarded book) was derailed by Chase from the beginning. William Goldman was going to be the screenwriter, with (I think) Ivan Reitman directing. But Chevy kept trying to “fix” what Goldman was doing with the script, and, being the star, was listened to more than the…
Even without him specifically stating it wasn’t Neill, Carpenter obviously wasn’t going to work with him again one movie later in the (waaaaaay superior) In the Mouth of Madness if working with Neill made Carpenter want to quit the business.
The correct answer is The Tipping Point by Tears for Fears.
Green Lantern: Mosaic. (My favorite mainline DC continuity title of all time, but it’s all too easy to imagine a show or movie based on it being announced and then languishing in development hell for a decade before being unceremoniously canceled.)
(See Laverne and Shirley)
I was coming here for this...these people must be too young for Laverne and Shirley!
A television show from the 1970's that celebrated 1950's nostalgia knew that milk and Pepsi has been around for a very long time. Darn kids on the interwebs think they thought of everything.
Again with the Daleks?
How is this not a slide show? Thx Takeout for not subjecting us to nonsense.
Before the sale, there were a few projects in development including Babylon 5, Powerpuff and Justice U with John Diggle. Now that it’s been sold, it’s hard to know what will go forward. Since CBS owns just a minority stake in the CW now, I can’t see them giving any Star Trek shows to the CW.
Their big mistake was not renewing their Netflix contract. With it, basically all of their shows were profitable even if the network wasn’t. When those shows moved to HBO Max, I doubt that it effected the bottom line by more than a few bucks.
Depending if Superman & Lois gets renewed (I’m not optimistic), this will probably be the last season I watch any CW shows. Just last season, I watched Nancy Drew, Tom Swift, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, The Flash, Stargirl, Superman & Lois and Riverdale.
Yep. That’s the kind of leadership DC needs. Someone who knows their limitations and strengths. He isn’t someone who’s going to pretend to do or like something bc of name brand recognition. We’re gonna see some obscure shit get the limelight.
The increase in the use of robotics across the spectrum of work isn’t surprising.
No mention of Cracker?
...which is a shame because what I would actually want out of a Goosebumps series would be Disney+’s answer to Are You Afraid of the Dark, not their answer to Fear Street.
I read this stuff at work during breaks. If you are going to go video only I am out. Bye bye.
