I don’t think that counts as investing. Investors pay their money for the promise of a return over time. These offers involve people giving money for the promise of in-game swag. There is zero chance they will ever recover $27k or more in real world dollars.

Wasn’t fuel a central plot point of Last Jedi? I would generally buy an explanation that says something like hyperspace demands exponentially more fuel as the ship’s mass gets bigger, so little ships can essentially run forever on a tank but capital ships have to think about logistics a little. It’s all hand-wavy tech

Meh. This video documented a dangerous interaction for police evidence, so artistic merit isn’t the most important thing here.

Cool, but you had to pick just about the most spoilerific possible gif to go with the article on the main site. I know. It’s been a while. Still that one’s a doozy.

OK folks, if you run, cycle or hike in mountain lion territory, bring mace. It saved my life late one night when I was trying to do field research on my own in Colorado.

Actually, that might not be a bad idea. I am not sure anyone has tried it.

Yeah, the point of that sign is basically, playing dead won’t work. You’re probably screwed but fighting back might make the bear slightly less likely to eat someone else.

I’d buy it. Probably 90% of people who get stalked by a cougar never know it. You’re not in their usual range of prey so they will follow out of curiosity, make sure you don’t get close to their den/kills and then try to leave without sparking a fight. People getting hunted is rare and usually a sign of desperation.

This should be COTD.

Holy christ no

It’s simple, just have the painted road lines switch from solid to dashed and have them cross in a big X. Drivers will understand that they’re supposed to take turns crossing each others’ path and everything will go smoothly.

I would love to see the ferry man from the second poetic Edda show up as an optional boss. Basically, the first great epic poem of Norse mythology is the story of Ragnarok, the great battle in which the gods and giants destroy each other blood and fire. The second great epic poem features Thor trying to persuade a

PT Cruiser.

They take the glove off but no one can wear it, because even Quill isn’t a Titan. Thanos wakes up, crushes everyone’s head, puts the glove back on and does something worse than kill HALF the universe. That’s how I’d see it.

This project seems well built, is insane in several different (mostly good) ways, and should cost around $10-15k.

They’re great cars, but rare now for the exact same reason you can’t find a good Integra, even though both should theoretically last forever.

The kids would comprehend it perfectly. They’d come home traumatized and their parents would riot.

No way do you see Chevy Luminas driving around. Where? I can’t remember the last time I saw one.

I don’t think that is true. When is the last time you saw a Chevy Lumina? A Ford Explorer more than two generations old? A Dodge Intrepid? Those things were ubiquitous when I was growing up, and twenty five years later the Hondas that were a bit classic even back then are still rolling along. Heck, I live in

So...why do Japanese cars last for 200k miles? There are Toyota pickups, Corollas, Civics and Subarus from the 80's that people still drive around as their regular cars.
