This isn't a very good way to determine something like "The Most Popular Console in the U.S." For example, I only own a PS4, yet I "liked" Xbox One on Facebook. Also, some people don't "like" companies, products and services on Facebook becuase they don't want them taking up space on their newsfeed.

Look back at this article in four years when developers are using the now current-gen systems to their full capabilities. It takes time for developers to master new hardware and fully utilize it. This is evident in the games that have been produced for now last-gen systems over the last year or two.

Similar to GTA Online. I stopped playing GTA Online, so perhaps some of you can help me out here: Did this idea even work with the "bad sports" servers?

Everyone is talking about how they don't mind short DLC, which is fine. I respect that and, depending on the price tag, agree. But, wasn't there recently a tremendous backlash to "Burial at Sea" Part One, Bioshock Infinite's DLC? I haven't played it yet, so I haven't formed an opinion (In fact, I'm currently working

While I agree that the original headline deserved to be changed due to a lack of accuracy, the fact remains that he designed the art directly based off of iconic art used in the Mario series without permission. It wasn't an ode so much as a direct recreation. That's undeniable, and you guys can't possibly have done

Much has been made about that article we ran last Thursday, which originally was headlined "Flappy Bird Is Making $50,000 A Day Off Ripped Art." The word "ripped" was too strong, and the article's author has come to regret it. I do, too, and wished I'd caught it. The headline's been changed since then.

Mmmhhmm, Bananananna.

Indie dev Jason Rohrer (Passage, Between, Sleep is Death) has written a blog post called "Why Rampant Sales are Bad for Players". He argues that a "culture of sales" has led to people waiting for a game's price to drop before buying, which in the long-term isn't just resulting in less money for developers, but also a

No, it's not bad necessarily. But, it is still interesting to think about the company that made Half-Life not producing anything of value (game-wise) themselves — at least not for a while. I think it's awesome that they support people like IceFrog and small studios like Turtle Rock. I think it should be applauded, and

I live in Northern Florida and my Internet is through Cox, which has a 250 GB cap. They stopped shutting down your Internet when you went over the limit, however. Now, they just send you a PR email that tries to talk you into purchasing a higher data limit, but they can't enforce it. Must be that someone questioned

I was beginning to consider "Infinite" as my GOTY, and TLoU is definitely not my GoTY. But you made more than a few great points as to why "Infinite," which before it came out was proclaimed to be the year's best game, doesn't fit the bill. GTAV doesn't deserve it IMO, though I enjoyed the game immensely. I guess,

This is the one game I haven't played this year that I really want to. Well, this and "A Link Between Worlds." The latter I won't be able to play unless I pick up a new system. But, this, this is getting purchased with the quickness.

On this article as well as the original article that listed all of the nominees, I'm noticing a lot of readers are upset because this game is a PS3 exclusive. Well, let me just state the glaringly obvious: A GOTY should be selected based on the merits of the game itself, and that alone. Not what system it came out

I'd have to disagree: Stealth was not handled well in this game, that would be my biggest issue with it. Level-design didn't incorporate stealth well at all, IMO.

Wow, I thought I was the only one. I really was starting to think there was something wrong with me because I generally agree with most years' GOTY picks from most of the video-game media, but I just couldn't understand why everyone loved this game so much. Thank you for making me feel a little more validated. And,

Respectfully disagree. I didn't enjoy this game at all. It is one of only two games this year that I immediately returned to trade-in after playing a few levels. While the levels were gorgeous, they didn't offer any interesting gameplay paths (for stealth) and while the tone was great and a nod needs to be given to

See what happens when you don't let emotion dictate your argument. Kudos, you canuck!

Not just standby, but also media usage. That is if you actually look at the chart. Also, it's not just the charts but the entire study. Fact of the matter is, this kid is right, while you are also right about some things. So don't be so hostile. You look foolish.

Most gamers' systems sit in standby for more hours than in gameplay. And, while the PS4 doesn't need to be in standby, the Xbone does (I believe, please point out if I am wrong). But I agree, this needs more stringent analysis before vomiting out an article that comes off a little one-sided. He could have contacted

I'm having a really difficult time understanding the amount of rage and hate being thrown toward this guy. For a bunch of people who like to spend their free time playing fantasy/sci-fi games, they really take themselves far too seriously. Buy the ticket, take the ride — and don't complain when it gets bumpy.
