Hell, even disregarding the scalpers Sony literally raised the price of the PS5 in Canada and various other countries.

And in doing so they learned an important lesson, just like all the hardcore arena shooters (Reflex, Toxxik, Diabotical, Quake Champions) that have tried to find footing in the last decade - exclusively gearing your game toward the fanatical veteran players isn’t a great business model.

For sure. I really wanted to love Wargroove but trying to 3 star every mission burnt me out pretty quickly - it’s a tactics game with no real room for tactics or creative problem solving. Ironically the scripting for enemy movements was way too strict, but the battle RNG was too loose.

I mean, don’t most of those “bad hackers” just utilize exploits and backdoors that the CIA forces companies to include?

Don’t really watch his content but the man clearly has great taste. Kei trucks are cool as shit.

Literally every time I hear someone mention this game I have to pause for a split second and remember they’re not talking about Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

Oddly enough, Elden Ring totally got me back into the series because it feels like such a return to form.

I emailed Gabe way back when I was moving out on my own for the first time and asked if he had any interior decorating advice - I figured he’d have some sick gamer tips. He told me to invest in a good bed, because it makes all your other furniture feel nicer.

Oh, word! I’ve played through RE4 half a dozen times over the years so I’m pretty familiar with it - that’s the main reason I’m hemming and hawwing between these two, I don’t wanna get burnt out on it.

How is the VR version? I’ve been sitting on it for a while now because I’m not sure if I’d rather play that or this new remake.

Season 3, which will start sometime next month (there’s no set date yet) will “try to place pairs of players with similar MMR [matchmaking ranking] on each role on either team,”

Man, Ryan Reynolds is great but I’m honestly so tired of the whole “wacky, foul-mouthed antihero slinging one-liners every 10 seconds” thing. I get it, that’s been the core of what Deadpool is for a long time now , but it seems like it’s become inescapable over the last decade.

Carmack joined Oculus in 2013, Facebook didn’t buy them until the following year. We all know FB is a cancer but I can absolutely understand why he’d try his best to weather the storm - dude genuinely believed in the tech

Call me cynical, but I don’t think that Amazon is willing to spend the money for a big scifi show

Forge is absolutely insane, with the primitives/texture system you can pretty much completely model anything you can think of from scratch. I’m by no means an expert but I’m currently trying to make my bedroom as a “rats” style map to learn things and it’s crazy how much even an idiot like me can do.

You can’t even get the most barebones 2000-series card for less than $300 and those came out 4 years ago.

still managed to make one of the worse (not worst, just on the bad end of the scale) BP systems in modern games.

Yep, and “vote for X because we can’t let Y win” is pretty much equally as illegitimate.

I think the difference is really in the context - Bungie often used “the sandbox” to refer to Halo’s trinity of Weapons, Grenades, Melee (and Vehicles, the fourth pillar) when they were talking to players about balance, but in a more technical dev environment it makes sense that it would also include everything else.

Oh, for sure! I don’t begrudge the kids at all, because they’re kids and Pokémon is primarily targeted towards them anyway.
