Theoretically that shouldn’t matter, SteamVR is just shell for OpenVR which is used by nearly every PCVR game - including Tetris Effect, which is also an Epic exclusive.

Even if it’s missing a lot of the more niche, hardcore features it’ll still do extremely well just by virtue of it being available on Game Pass. I’ve heard tons of interest from people who otherwise don’t really care about aviation at all.

I really wanted to like TERA and remember playing the beta back in the day, but it had by far the worst community I’ve ever seen in an MMO. Entire zones of nothing but Elin RP, which, uh... nope.

I haven’t owned an iPhone since the 5S, but from a quick Google search there’s:

Sorry, I just addressed that in my edit. The App Store absolutely isn’t the only way to legally install software, there are half a dozen different third-party app stores and even a few that don’t require breaking the TOS at all.

It’s easy to hate on Apple’s walled garden but I honestly don’t see any problem with this

I disagree, I’ve never quite been able to find anything that scratches that Halo itch. It’s a really unique style of gameplay, not quite a classic arena shooter but not especially “modern” either. The combat almost feels like a puzzle, with less focus on twitch shooting and more emphasis on playing around with all

I haven’t had any sort of optical drive in my PC for like 8 years. Bought a cheap external one just on the off-chance I’d need it for motherboard drivers or whatever, but it’s never come up.

The one thing that stops me from getting an ultrawide is the lack of widespread (lol) support. I know it’s becoming more common, and in most cases you can usually find a workaround through .ini files and the like, but it’s still disconcerting... What if that one game I really want to play doesn’t support it, then I’m

Yes — DOTA2 and CS:GO are arguably two of the biggest eSports titles ever. However, they have a shelf life and they’ll need to eventually find something to replace them when other games leapfrog them.

Yeah it’s totally understandable given they’re basically completely separate games, but still a bummer. After playing Superhot VR I just have no desire to experience it any other way.

From the flight I played a few weeks ago, 3 runs much better than 2 (and even Reach) - unlocked framerate seems to actually work now and I didn’t get any stuttering.

Well said. There’s also a push to use terminology like “died by/from” instead of “committed” because the latter minimizes the fact that depression is a disease that the person rarely has any actual control over.

That’s a lot of words to say “we thought the logo looked cooler this way.”

Right, I’m not disagreeing that Dr. Disrespect deserves to get booted the fuck out. He’s garbage.

i sincerely hope they work towards actually changing the way they approach these things in the future.

Holy shit, not a great week for EG - they also just fired a very prominent Dota 2 caster after some really disgusting news about him came to light (This article covers some of the basics but it appears to have been written before the full extent of it was revealed, that’s not even the worst of it)

at least when you do, it’s cut and dry.

Highly depends on the setup, a lot of the cheaper HDR displays have pitifully few lighting zones. There’s a lot of marketing fuckery around that term because nothing in the HDR spec - for either HDR10 or Dolby Vision - actually sets standard for hardware. It’s a lot like how in the early days of HD you’d see them slap
