All these “live service” shooters are pretty much interchangeable at this point tbh

I believe the Bluetooth logo is actually an old Norse rune, and Nazi fucks are weirdly into Norse mythology so I guess it’s not that surprising.

Why do you need a pat on the back just for doing your job? Sounds pretty entitled tbh

You can buy the games individually for $10 (with Reach being the only one available on PC at the moment), or you can buy the entire pack for $40 to get them all as they release.

It’s been a while since I’ve played Halo, but IIRC you’re correct - you can crouch while moving.

Halo 3 really was the golden age of community-driven online games. One of the first console shooters to have an in-depth level editor, definitely the first to have a dedicated photo/replay mode with a built-in way to share your creations, and all in the days before XBL Party Chat or Discord isolated friend groups into

And that’s totally fine! People are allowed to have opinions.

I get how my wording was abrasive, but if you aren’t the kind of person sending death threats to Valve and making internet petitions to stop this game from being released (yes, that really exists) then I’m clearly not referring to you. If you aren’t interested in VR for whatever reason or can’t afford it, then I’m

For the record, Mortal Dictata has been following me around GMG sites all day harassing me because I dismissed their comment after they called me an asshole and a prick. He already dismissed another commenter in this thread because they pointed out how ridiculous it is, and now that I’ve replied to you he’s going to

No idea dude, he’s been following me around all of the GMG sites and harassing me all day. Some people need a hobby, I guess. 🤷

Imagine being so salty about an internet argument that you have to bring it up days later on a completely unrelated post. I’ll have fun watching you dismiss this reply showing the full context of your trolling and harassment, just like you did last time.

I’m genuinely not trying to be a dick but did you... read the article? Because that is the context, this entire article is the author’s opinion on the dichotomy between VR fans and non-VR fans, as well as the expectations and baggage that come with Valve using the Half-Life name for their experiment.

Oh for sure, disappointment is understandable - and reasonable. But there’s a surprisingly large chunk of people who are going way beyond that and being downright toxic about the whole thing, filling forums with deranged rants and threats because Valve dared to make something that doesn’t align with their own

I see you conveniently left out the part where you called me an asshole, completely unprompted, and hilariously said I’m somehow entitled for daring to say that Valve can do whatever they want with their games. I dismissed you because you’re just straight-up trolling, there are plenty of replies that disagree with me

Aaand your entire comment chain is getting Dismissed. Bye, troll. :)

lose access to their past-times

Then... don’t buy it? Videogames are inherently a luxury product, this isn’t some great moral dilemma where Valve is demanding people to choose between groceries or entertainment.

The people clamoring for a port really confuse me. Like, the 1:1 hand control is the game. It enables a range of interactions that literally aren’t possible with a traditional controller. The most recent Boneworks video they just released is a good example of this, it’s full of gameplay mechanics that straight-up

Counterpoint: It’s great that Half-Life: Alyx is VR only, and everyone complaining (with the very small exception of people with disabilities, which is actually an interesting point that I would love to see expanded in a future article) sound like ridiculous, entitled Luddites.

Have fun with that image, kiddies! :)
