As a big Dota fan, this won’t solve anything unless you address the underlying issue of heroes being incredibly one note - the fix is to have fewer heroes but each with more utility. The kits are spread so thin in Overwatch that it literally doesn’t matter how you try to enforce the meta, it’s always going to

Google is a powerful tool, for better or worse (in this case worse, obviously.) It’s shockingly easy to get someone’s real name by looking up their username and digging through old forum/reddit/etc. posts where they’ve talked about their personal life. Maybe you can see they post in their city’s local subreddit, now

Walmart doesn’t carry guns here (aside from a few piddly little airsoft guns), but you can absolutely buy guns and ammo at Canadian Tire.

Halo’s Grunt Birthday Party skull will always be a favourite.

Honestly, good for him. Twitch’s business/moderation policies are a goddamned mess — for a number of reasons, some of which have been covered on Kotaku before — and hopefully this gives them a much-needed kick in the ass to start making changes.

Do kids these days even know how to read an analog clock?

GIVE ME BLADES OR GIVE ME DEATH

Fair point, that’s true. I somehow didn’t even notice this was about their League slots despite the title

Overwatch is literally the only game where this happens. In every other esports league, there’s no scarcity to speak of because anyone can make a team with their friends at no cost and work their way up through open qualifiers.

From what I’ve heard (haven’t bought it myself yet) Rift owners can launch it from Oculus Home just fine after the initial launch from EGS. I don’t actually know how WMR is set up but I’d imagine it has a similar feature.

Those games are typically made by smaller niche developers who just don’t have the budget for a console release. On top of that, they usually need far more buttons than you’ll find on a controller.

That’s just blatantly untrue, I see you haven’t actually used VR before. I have had absolutely zero issues, and know literally hundreds of thousands of people on the various VR communities who would say the same.

Xbox and Dualshock 4 controllers are much higher quality though. Hell, my original wired 360 controller — that I got at launch more than a decade ago — still works perfectly fine, I use it on my PC these days.

but until they solve locomotion issues

Overwatch accounts are like $10 though, and that’s if they’re leveled all the way to 25 for competitive.

One of the first jobs I applied for out of university was an in-house designer at a small, local software company. After the first round of screening they gave me a “technical test” - I thought sure, it makes sense they’d wanna know I’m not just bullshitting.

Regardless, why pay a highly-skilled designer when you can put thousands of monkeys at thousands of pirated totally-legitimate copies of Adobe Illustrator and hope one of them gets lucky?

The problem is that there’s no guarantee they’ll choose your song. It’s in the name, Spec[ulative] Work - companies hold “contests” where they basically get thousands of hopeful young artists to spend their own time and money making content, on the off-chance that they get chosen. The company gets thousands of “free
