The Deadspin butthurt in here gives me life.

Now playing

Obviously they didn’t need to do it that way and there’s no real narrative purpose behind it, but it’s Valve - the Source engine was all about pushing boundaries and doing obscure, tech demo-y things just because they could. Check 1:10 in this video for an example of the live camera stuff.

I believe they actually did work as real cameras in the original version - for instance, in the terminal area at the beginning, when Breen is giving his little speech on the monitors, that was actually “filmed” in a different section of the map with his actual character model as it was happening.

It’s pretty fucked-up and ableist to equate the Trump administration’s evil to mental illness. Do better.

I’m not even that into Harry Potter, but isn’t the whole series literally a Christ allegory?

Make your own BET so to speak.

You can get a permanent League ban for not following the meta or picking heroes that your teammates don’t like, so Riot’s model is definitely not something that should be taken as inspiration.

With 7.0 they also made it so you have to wait until the end of the match to report people, which cuts down on “rage reports” considerably.

It’s a good idea (E3 is increasingly a massive money sink with smaller return each year), but the major thread I’m seeing from a lot of journalists is just that they didn’t actually do anything to accommodate the change. If E3 is going to be open to the public, they need to make some changes on a fundamental level as

And this is what Smash players are throwing a temper tantrum over not getting? lol

There are literally hundreds of studies that find a not-insignificant correlation between compounds found in tea and weight loss. Is drinking tea going to make you magically drop 50 pounds? No, especially not at the levels that any sane person would drink, but there absolutely is a solid scientific foundation for

I mean, the story’s fine - aside from a few little changes it follows the manga fairly closely. There are moments when bits and pieces will be hand-drawn and it looks alright, but the CG is genuinely awful and definitely lessens the emotional impact of a lot of scenes.

The manga is absolutely worth reading. The characterization is miles beyond the bits and pieces we got in any of the anime/movies, and the story goes... places.

The Blu-ray version is slightly less ugly, but yeah, the new anime is... Not good. I get that traditional animation is expensive and they probably went this route to cut costs, but damn, the visuals legitimately detract from the story.

Probably because present-day WW is already gonna be covered by Justice League and they don’t wanna double dip. The world (like, the actual cities and politics) of the DCU is boring as hell anyway, I’d much prefer them set it in the past and be able to take whatever liberties they need to tell a compelling story.

I can’t tell if you’re fucking with us or not but either way that sounds absolutely hilarious.

Wolfenstein 2009 actually did a lot of really neat things, so I can’t really agree with Kirk on that point either. It was janky and kinda low-budget, but a cool take on the franchise.

I’m a PC guy but that’s a huge bummer for you console folks. Seems like someone forgot to turn on the aim acceleration, too - that looks really clunky.
