Huh, I actually didn’t know that. Neat!

There’s no way you can glean any sort of meaningful information from POTG as it stands, but changing it so it shows more than one perspective is only a half-measure IMO.

They’re “garbage” because they poured their blood, sweat and tears into a passion project without considering the semantics of a few lines of code that nobody’s supposed to see anyway?

Ditto, this looks cool as hell but I’m not much for RTSes. An XCOM/Front Mission clone with this aesthetic would be GOTY though.

This is the taxes on the 0.1%.

Bethesda is just the publisher on those though, they didn’t have anything to do with development. And it’s not like those are niche titles that couldn’t have found publishers elsewhere, it’s just that Zenimax happens to own the licences right now.

Well, between the squatting and the genetics at least they’d all have great asses.

I don’t see any hastily-written Cyrillic swears or screaming Brazilian children pinging my hero every femtosecond in those Dota screenshots, pretty sure that’s still false advertising.

I dunno, man. For a lot of people the grind is the game - just look at LoL players, many of whom actually like the F2P model of grinding for points to buy heroes because it gives them something to work towards.

Formal motion to bring back Kotaku-tan and that sick Frazetta-inspired design, preferably in hoodie form.

This is exactly what would happen if you had mod conflicts in the original game (in fact, the first time I tried to mod Skyrim I spent 3 hours just trying to survive the opening carriage sequence without having it crash into a tree), which makes me think this is a pretty shoddy port.

I would read the hell out of that blog/buy the hell out of that book! UI/UX is a big nerdy passion of mine and it bums me out that there really isn’t much talk of stuff like this in videogames, a medium that’s literally built around it.

Stick is hella fun and engaging, but the thing is I don’t think most people, who probably live in tight urban areas and have a 1-2 hour daily commute, want fun and engaging. They want something that gets them from point A to B as easily as possible, they don’t care about feeling the road and are never really in

Oh man, this video is an absolute classic. The Ron Paul bit gets me every time.

I remember in the early days of TF2 there was a glitch where you could build a turret right on top of the door to your spawn in such a way that it would stop it from fully opening, so nobody could actually get out.

That’s actually a really fair point.

Windows Defender is one of the best antivirus solutions available, I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Yes, let’s make fun of the silly negro with the negro name.

Yeah. The only way I see this working is if they turn it into an event that’s bigger than just the sport - something like Quakecon, a celebration of Civ/4x/board games in general where you can watch it in the background while taking in other stuff.

James always reminded me more of Kimblee from FMA, but this works too!
