@James Henderson: Go back in time about three years and you would have heard non-stop Harry Potter chatter from kids that age. It's just that the Potter books ended more than two years ago, so interest in the series has inevitably cooled a bit.

There is more beauty in a unique style than in slavish adherence to realism.

The studio probably has very low expectations for this movie's quality if they're pushing it back to January. That's the slowest time of the year for movies, and studios usually use it as a dumping ground for their worst films.

Let's not forget that the most high-profile collaboration mentioned above, Bionic Commando, was a complete and utter mess and one of the most disappointing games of the year.

Grey Guy is too overpowered. He completely ruins the game balance! He has a punch AND a kick, while Blue Guy's special attack is "fall down and die." Way to break the game, Grey Guy.

@Jaysunli: Speak for yourself. Conan has been the funniest guy on Late Night TV for years now (unless you count Stewart and Colbert.) He has a lost a step or two since coming to the Tonight Show, though. I think it's because he can't get away with as much as he could in the post-midnight timeslot.

You'd think that, that far in the future, they'd figure out a way to make elevators faster. Or at least, not even slower than the ones we have now...

Tabletop RPG's say hi.

Due to some sort of amazing new technology, downloading this theme to your Xbox will somehow make your PS3 ready for action.

@KaneBaker: They do make it look too easy, but that's out of nesscity, because otherwise they'd solve about one case per season.

@WPack911: So it's one of the worst things ever on TV just because it has video games in it? Wow, sensitive much?

@Sisee: I don't think the money saved by not making this chest would have been enough to pay for making every single copy of the game less expensive.

I refuse to care until I see a G Gundam game.

Mirror's Edge gave me migraines. Just because first-person works for shooters doesn't mean it automatically works for all other genres. I wish EA luck but frankly I'll be shocked if they can pull a decent game out of what I think is a pretty flawed basic concept.

@WhiteMåge: I think Wii players tend to spend less time playing games, on average, than owners of the other two consoles.

About half of these are properties which would probably have been on the list without a game tie-in. Do we really think that the reason Twilight or UFC are on here is because of the tie-in games? Come on now. I'm just surprised "football" wasn't included on the list. There's games about football, right? It counts!

Medal of Warfare 2: Modern Honor.

The Zelda games are still brilliant, but they really were in danger of growing stale. Twilight Princess is an excellent game, but it also felt like the culmination of the series to date; like this was as far as they could take the familiar formula without it getting tedious. It's great to see that Nintendo realizes

@ddhboy: I'm not sure what you expect Square to do here. Should they not put the main character on the front because she's a woman? You do know that every FF since 7 has had the main character on its western box art, right?

Am I the only one who finds that box art to be really boring? I mean, it obviously doesn't matter what you put on the box since the FF name ensures it'll sell like crazy anyway, but they could have at least tried to give a bit more than "main character, white background."
