I watched the whole thing, but if you just want to see the ping pong ball blasting into a paddle, jump to about 4:45. The final hi-speed clip is at 9:35 and it's a water-filled ping pong ball hitting a sheet metal plate.

If you watch the explosion scene you can see Tom falling into the water just as the bridge explodes. I didn't even notice it the first time I watched the episode. It's tough to spot unless you're looking for it and he never says, "I jumped in the water before the bridge went BOOM." or anything.

That just proves they watched Star Trek. The Enterprise used to do that with their shields all the time. Copycats...

The only movie I ever saw where I thought the 3D made something better was "Despicable Me" and only the rollercoaster scene. After several overpriced disappointments I stick with 2D.
