So does this essentially mean that a player who takes his time could end up being a superior god like being, who specializes in both magic and hand to hand combat? I'm not sure I agree with the mechanic NOT pigeon holing a player into a specific role. The way I conprehended this, was that a player could end up being a

@tomsomething: Exactly. My guess is that thing crawled up her ass in her sleep.

Sony really is awful at keeping secrets. I feel like most of their big announcements from the past few years have been leaked.

@Dezerus Richardson: My thoughts exactly. I'd like to see the necessity for disks wain, generally.

Honestly, I couldn't read very far into this letter without feeling like I was peering into a window in a mans house who I had never met, or known. Finishing it is simply out of the question for me.

Slip a ring on that girl's finger right now. So very awesome.

@TheTourist314: Your username very accurately depicts so much about you...

It's the same for all those shitty low-fi garage rock indie bands out of Brooklyn.

Anything's better than the Orange Box art. Not too thrilled with this though.

@jay13x: I think that would actually require head-tracking too.

@Ignerd: I suggest you evaluate the definition of game-breaking. You as well.

@Ignerd: A cheap tactic is not a game breaking tactic. Read the article again.

@Ignerd: A game breaking tactic is a glaring imbalance that can not be beaten. Getting grenade launcher'd in CoD (like the article stated) is not game breaking. Getting cannon rushed in SCII, also not game-breaking. It is rather, an annoying, cheap tactic that makes the game unpleasant for most players.

@hamster78: I'm well aware of how/when/what to scout. Everyone gets caught off guard sometimes. It's still frustrating to no end, when you'd like to practice your macro and some jerk cannon rushes you.

@Ignerd: You do realize that the article is about cheap tactics, not game breaking tactics right? Getting caught trying to flame commenters is blog-breaking.

There's nothing worse than getting cheesed in Starcraft 2. It's absolutely enraging when you scout that proxy pylon just a little too late, or hidden barracks, or 10 pool. Players like this can make you never want to play the game again.

@Evdor: I think that's a fairly accurate assumption, actually. Although, I don't think Activistion was completely alone in that foresight. Blizzard most surely would have wanted to 'legitimize' the social aspect of their online community.

@gilligan156: I think a lot of critics neglect the fact that SC2 is very, very competitive. There were plenty of creative liberties taken with the campaign, if you ask me. They did about as much as they could have with multiplayer, and knowing Blizzard, the thing is going to keep improving and being patched to high

Calling Starcraft 2 a disappointment in any way, shape, or form is a huge blunder. Altering the nuts and bolts of it? Are you nuts? Korea would EXPLODE. How often do you see the nuts and bolts of Football, Baseball, Soccer, etc. tinkered with? Not very much. I was completely impressed with what Blizzard had created.
