@scrapking: Rare is not the same group of people these days, my friend.

@LegacyCrono: It makes us look like paranoid assholes, who willfully invade the privacy every American has the right to.

Blah. Do not want.

@bodger1: I chalk those efforts up to mere experiments. If they were to support a fully featured version of D3, I think it would be a positive thing.

Diablo is probably the only universe that would work well on a console, pending control issues of course. I think it's a smart move. Let console gamers experience what they've been missing all these years.

I'll have to weigh in on this after I actually beat the game. It's no secret that Castro is villainized throughout the US though. They should be more outraged at their own government, rather than a video game from the US, in my humble opinion.

@Zim: I'm not expecting too much, honestly. It'd be nice to play something that isn't a hyper realistic FPS, and I think Joe Mad's art is pretty rad.

@Zim: I've heard a lot of really mixed stuff about it, but it's still something I'd like to experience...especially because it's probably about $20 now.

I still plan on going back and picking Darksiders up quite soon, as I missed it last year. Starcraft 2 has ruined any chance of me ever playing a video game ever again, though :(

I remember back when you were still deciding whether or not to quit Rocky Mountain News in the night notes. I think we're all collectively glad you left the print world and helped foster one of the largest internet gaming communities on the web. Happy anniversary, dude.

@superdemon: ^^ What I was trying to get at.

The facial and voice recognition tech would be great for Mac users. Flailing around wildly like a moron? Not so much.

Can this please turn into a feel-good-restored-faith-in-the-gizmodo-community story when we find out that readers or editors replaced the kid's stolen superheroes and PSP? :(

@thecast: You're right, how dare I compare Dead Space 1 with Dead Space 2.

Now playing

This is how a Dead Space trailer SHOULD be done. Sigur Ros is a brilliant choice for music.

@fELIXADER: I'm not really sure that Public Relations has anything to do with cutting trailers though. That has always been part of the creative effort, hasn't it? I'm sure there were bullet points that EA wanted touched upon (imagery-wise) in the trailer, but I'm fairly sure teams cut their own trailers. Correct me

I swear, if I hear a reverbed-out and super compressed version of "Ring Around the Rosie" over suspenseful strings accompanied by gruesome creepy imagery one more time in some "scary" trailer...I am going to lose it. There is nothing original or scary about a creepy version of that song. We have all seen it done a

So that's where the Weeds writers got the idea from...

@urfe: I'm inclined to agree with you...it seems somehow LESS intuitive than simply tapping a joystick.

Battle.net has a long way to go, in my opinion. There are still seemingly very obvious omissions, and the UI isn't as intuitive as it really could be.
