@deuxhero: Never. It came from THEIR COMMUNITY. Valve is trying to capitalize on something that came from WC3 players and has always been free. Blizzard is not saying they have or should own Dota. They're saying it belongs to us, the gamers. The whole move on Valve's part is sketchy, and I'm inclined to agree with

As a hardcore Starcraft 2 player, and a huge Puzzle Quest fan...I can easily say this is kind of the best thing to come out of Blizzcon for me, personally. Constant ladder matches can be quite stressful and frustrating at times, and little things like this confirm the fact that I feel like I never need to buy another

Is Valve still trying to copywrite the word "Dota"? If so, that could be an issue.

The thing is, it has nothing to do with online fiction, really. Warcraft and Starcraft are VERY COMPETITIVE games. Some people also take sports very seriously.

Starjeweled...oh. my. god. I will never have to buy another video game again. Thank you, and fuck you, Blizzard.

@PajamaSam: I agree. Let players experience the actual END of the game and its following expansions because the rest Azeroth has completely moved on.

@Carey.Laius: The problem I have had with it was never the money, but the fact that entire CONTINENTS in the game world and rendered useless when the new expansion comes out. Northrend is going to be a proverbial ghost town, just like Outland is. Give us a reason to take down the Lich King when the Blue items that

@molotovich: This is where I stop responding to ignorant sterotypes. Have a fantastic life.

@gurfinki: They get an Xbox in addition to Kinect. According to Harpo.

@zack10house: I heard every Jeep Wrangler comes with a Bonnaroo ticket.

@molotovich: Oh right, I forgot, our entire country is full of ignorant morons because of the small percentage of actual ignorant morons. My mistake.

But if I buy a Jeep I'll have to start listening to Dave Matthews, and start wearing sandals, and start playing hackey sack!

@SotSS: you're absolutely right man, they aren't reinventing the wheel here...but they sure are refining the hell out of it. I'm fairly sure that the content is still interesting to a lot of people, no matter how cliche it may be. WoW really is a hell of a game, man.

@kojirodensetsu: It's good to see your comments are conducive to the discussion in the thread. Keep up the great work!

@deafblindmute: They can still add new wrecked areas to the since wrecked world. I'm sure they won't run out of ideas, I'm just curious about how theyre going to deal with characters when they get up to the level 100's

@BubbleF**kingBuddy: I think 12 million people would disagree with you. I will agree that their cinematics department is stellar though.

@molotovich: I am sane, and rational. Also American.

@Eldragon: I don't think you understand that they're doing this to protect you, the gamer, from being subjected to cheaters. They are in now way going to get money out of this suit. You heard the word lawsuit and automatically and rashfully thought "evil corporation." I suggest you rethink your statement.

@Downskated: Your final thought was right on the money. They will probably not get a dime from these people...but it will send a major ripple through the maphack community, and they know it. Thank you Blizzard.
