I'm level 11 and thus far I've yet to see anything that destroys canon. The weirdest thing would be the fact future games don't mention this period, but that can easily be fixed. They picked a time about a thousand years before Skyrim begins where the empire that started the second era has been gone for some time

The events could certainly be classed as lore-friendly, if you take the view that this history is simply lost by the 3rd and 4th eras.
