I'll be going with PS4 first, as it has more games coming for it that I want. The design is also quite nice, and I've recently spent more time with my PS3 than my 360.

Won't be picking it up until January time though. Waiting for new store-made bundles, also saving up a little more cash to get some extra games and the

Shut him down for doing what?

He's not selling it, or releasing it. All he's doing is putting the map of a game he helped create into a 3D version, and showing it to people...

If he wants to release it, then sure...but even then, since Rockstar released GTA1 for free, they wouldn't exactly be losing anything if he were

The Sun isn't a newspaper, it's a rag.

It's definitely not like that anymore :p

Well, it seems to have quite a substantial fanbase already, and it seems to be constantly improving, and it also seems to have been going on long enough to show that it is definitely continuing in the right direction...so it is at least more trustworthy than War Z.

But, if the worry is there, probably a good idea to

I've been quite impressed with what I have seen of the procedural generation.

I was quite surprised to see power lines following the road, and the roads are fairly well built (only 1 bit was missing when I found a curve in the road). So yeah, if you like procedural generation, what I've seen myself and what the videos

Gameplay is sort of semi-traditional first person game.

WASD for movement, clicking the left mouse button to do things like attack. I for inventory, C for picking things up, right click on items like food to use them.

It, at the moment, looks pretty bland visually...but it's an alpha stage game, I expect it'll get

Not as of yet. As I say, only 15 minutes so far. It's something I'll delve in to when a few friends have the game.

Having only played about 15 minutes, you shouldn't take what I say as gospel, but:

- State of Decay seems to me to be very much a game. It is structured, even if it is a sandbox, has a story, etc...but it still has its limitations, in size and activity. TDL, on the other hand, is a procedurally generated experience, so

Anyone else purchased The Dead Linger?

I discovered it ages ago, but wasn't too sure about it (I'd just been burned by War Z), but decided to get it last night. Only played about 15 minutes of it so far, but I like it.

Any tips? Tricks?

I think an original plot would work better for a series, but if it were a mini-movie then it'd be better for it to follow the games.

Sort of like the Pokemon series vs Pokemon Origins.

An original plot could go for as long as it wanted to, and could explore all sorts of options, and could even be used to fill in some of

Well, this is what I mean...a bundle made by a store, so an unofficial bundle, is likely to just be the console with a certain game that they've just stuck together.

Official bundles are different though, they're usually in the box with the console.

My PS3 was the Killzone Bundle, so Killzone 2 came in the box with it,

The bundles made by stores will likely mean that the console and game come separately anyways, so they'll get delivered separately.

As for the PS4 bundle? I wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft and Sony are meeting with each other now to sort out what can be done...

>>>An animated show that wasn't treated as a show specifically for children<<<

>>>wasn't<<<

Key word.

>>We would also sorta like to make sure that people focus more on AC4 for a while before adopting our new series<<

:p

But, yeah, no big deal for me. Won't be getting a PS4 until January, so it means I can look forward to having enough money for a copy of the game when it does release.

OK then, so maybe those 2 or 3 episodes were out of the norm, but they were pretty damned effective. Either way, having a show where the protagonist doesn't do all that much talking wouldn't be all that bad.

And, yeah, I know full well about the cartoon from all those years ago. It was aimed directly at kids, American

Why does it always have to be a movie/film?

Why not a TV series? An animated show that wasn't treated as a show specifically for children could do really well (aim it at younger audiences, sure, but also make it watchable by the older fans).

Basically, give me a Zelda anime. If need be, doing something in the same vein

Say the current "war on terror" ended right now, peace in Afghanistan, Iraq, and all other affected areas.

Could we make a game about it then? The conflict is fully over, but it is still fresh in memory and those involved in it are still present...

But then again, there are also still people present from WW2, even if

What do people see as a sort of acceptable time-frame for games/media to be made about historical events?

I mean, we've got a lot of games about WW2, and loads of RTS titles that cover older conflicts. We have a few set during Vietnam, but not many, and I seem to remember there being a couple that have taken place

You may like this guy then (Okotanpe). If you like this one, look up the video "Japanese Crystal Ball Performer (Contact Juggling)" (which is how I was introduced to his stuff).
