You realize you can just not use the mode and it won’t affect you at all? I never get outrage about having options.

Maybe because it isn’t an adaptation?  It’s literally set in the same universe as the games but takes place after all of the events in different locations from the events. This is stated in the article.

The new main character Luke is an MMA fighter and they already said he is going to be a very important character going forward. Personally I think the logo looks fine especially with the more realistic art style they seem to be going for.
