As of 1.0 release, having the render distance set to far on anything that isn't 64 bit Java will in fact crash Java within 20 seconds. >.>

The only thing unprecedented in this video is the level of detail - and I say this as someone who like the rest of you have not seen anything new from Infinity for a while.

Depends where you look. The Corp channel is a good place to start as it's filled with people who just started the game as well as vets - at least to begin with, joining a player corp changes it to an internal channel.

I still think the biggest improvement, at least graphically, is the new nebulae. They reignite a beauty I've not seen in EVE for many years.

Well technically it is a new engine, so a brand new memory leak in the PS3 to fix. It is a problem in this particular port, however, as the 360 and PC owners are not having such issues.

It's a memory leak. This is the reason it is fine to begin with as the PS3 isn't unloading things from memory correctly. It is a slow leak, but it is major.

Well, these are the same people who think that an in-process memory leak is heavily related to save game size...

Finally someone else who knows enough about how it is to give an informed comment. I approve and agree with all the above.

You should pick up the PC version, for both longetivity - lets face it, the PS3 will die off in a few years but there will always be a way to run a PC game, even if it ends up on Good Old Games in 20 years- and for community.

It probably was revealed, but JohnoBoy had it correct, the majority of the time the suites don't care - as long as it ships on time such bugs (if found late in the cycle - and considering the PS3 version is a port from the 360 this is likely) are usually left on the sidelines to be patched later if people notice it.

The reason behind such problems is not the console.

I bet you are having a small breakdown with the web-based DRM schemes that Ubisoft, Activision and EA are all leaning on.

As a heads up folks, I can run it on Ultra at 1920x1200 with a q6700 at 3ghz, 4gb of DDR2 RAM and a single 8800GT 1GB. That's without any AA or FXAA but it still looks fine and runs happily at 40-50fps.

Others have mentioned it but I didn't see the actual video posted. This, his original Skyrim cartoon, is much better in my opinion.

Blender most probably, and for textures Paint.net or Gimp.

Just wish to say that point 3 is invalid as while the pool of people is tiny compared to the overall pirating populous, compared to the actual number of games released they are actually overstaffed - remember, a game only needs to be cracked once to be shared by millions, and often there are more than one cracking

Actually my day off is Wednesday, and only Wednesday. But face it, the majority of the first world populace is on 9-5 Monday-Friday (sometimes including Saturday) and are incredibly happy that it's a Friday release.

I will be happily enjoying my WEEKEND playing Skyrim.

No no, they were critics making the comments. You'd be half right about the not caring - they care, but are fedup of being treated like a second class.

Very nicely done, very well edited, and a lot of good work.
