If the time was spent having a fun and entertaining time with friends, do you consider that time wasted? I don’t. It’s not like I was going to be taking night classes instead - I’d just be playing some other game and enjoying another “useless time sink”. If you’re playing solo and deriving no joy, then WoW is probably

I’d definitely be onboard for a review of Lain - and then as a palate cleanser from the mindbending insanity you could dig into another fine work by Yoshitoshi ABe, Haibane Renmei (which also fits into the category being discussed here - very much improved with a second viewing.)

I chuckled when I saw that article as it seemed a pretty deliberate choice to list the numbers in yen with no mention of the usd value. Might as well go whole hog and say they lost 19 billion Kip.

The advertising/distribution costs come in there too - while not officially stated, it’s very safe to say it was at least $50M more, and pretty reasonable to guess it was in the $100M range. Right now it’s looking like break-even in the long run would be a pretty good outcome for Sony.

By downloading the Media Creation Tool and setting up a USB drive I was able to install Windows 10 to a separate, clean hard drive. The clean drive was in the same computer as a different drive that had Windows 7 installed on it, but it’s hard to tell if that actually mattered. During the Windows 10 install I skipped

These folks are offering to hatch eggs at 1 kilometer steal your phone for a mere 1,000 won, which is around a dollar. = P

It was a fine game IMO. Not outstanding, but worth playing if you enjoyed the original Ghostbusters movies. Ramis R.I.P.

Grand Kingdom comes out June 28th for Vita and PS4. Seems to be pretty well received, at least among the few sites that have reviewed it. Somehow no mention of it here on Kotaku =(

Getting it stable and flying is definitely some cool design work and a feat of engineering, but I wouldn’t want to even think about the mpg on that thing @_@

Maybe it’s strategic, like to give a bit more time for people to roll off the Dark Souls 3 train, which I know I’m still on.

Drama is the hot new thing? Did they just discover the internet? Drama has been around forever.

Earthbound was well worth it.

But did they randomize breast size?

Started up a second run through Demon’s Souls, (my first being over 5 years ago now) and damn does starting as Royalty make the first stages easy. Anything gets remotely close to me -> soul arrow in the face!

Went in for the $80 steam credit. It’s guaranteed I’ll spend that much on Steam games within at least a few months, so free money! If you’re having trouble with the seller linked in this post (they wouldn’t let me put 4 x $20 in the cart), best buy sells the cards themselves (it’s free shipping if you buy $80 worth).

All I can think of is those extendable chopsticks being used for some kind of ultraviolence @_@

Anything by Squaresoft in the 90s. Looking back this was sort of a golden age for them where their presence in RPGs was vast, - with big titles ranging from Final Fantasy III/VI, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears - but they also weren’t afraid to venture in to one-off projects like Einhander, Brave Fencer
