It also helps a lot if at least one of your sequel titles contains “Revenge”, “Return” or “Returns”, “Vs.”, or “in <place>” / “goes to <place>”. “Hell” and “Space” are good fill ins for the <place>.
I had thought this already happened in the past, see
I think it’d be remiss to mention TAZ without also giving some props to the early predecessor of Penny Arcade’s Acquisitions Incorporated. I think AcqInc was among the very first to signal that yes indeed this sort of thing could draw a huge audience and even fill auditorium rooms IRL. I’d be very surprised if the…
The chart might as well just say “this is what we think we can get away with that will a) get us the most money and b) not piss off vast amounts of people”. The reasoning / labeling of titles is mostly fantastical.
I’m bummed whenever a long running franchise just languishes by the wayside, so Konami’s approach to their big franchises sucks out loud imo. If a competent team thinks they can tackle Castlevania I say more power to them, make it happen. Get another Suikoden mainline game going too while we’re at it.
This could be Ubisoft crawling back to Steam with their tail between their legs, but it could also be seen as “we scooped up the bulk of the sales we could on our service / EGS where our cut is larger, might as well go for the remaining sales on Steam where our cut is smaller”. If it is the latter then that seems like…
“ Don’t worry, you can either grab one of the purchasable vehicles as a temporary replacement (yes, you’ll get your wheels back). ”
If you’re big into Bond, I’d recommend checking out the “From Rewatch with Love” series from LoadingReadyRun. They go through each Bond film talking about the various iconic pieces like the stunts, opening theme sequences/songs, villians, etc and discuss and compare. Fun way kill some time and learn a lot about the…
I see this partly as something Kim is doing as a way to “keep up” with the new and evolving Saul Goodman, who seems to be becoming more and more okay with being a “friend of the cartel”. I first felt that vibe when Jimmy warns Kim near the end of Season 5 “Kim, doing this, it’s not you. You would not be okay with it,…
Imagine if it was the KEN WINS plate, that’d be an interesting twist. Total self-centered douche by outward appearance, but visits a psychiatrist on the regular.
Per the ritual, this must be placed on all articles referencing Hironobu Sakaguchi. And yes, that is him.
Needs more Death Metal Retsuko.
*high register* Where in the World is *low bass* ~~Carmen Sandiego~~
Always worth a link when discussing Sakaguchi - the man, the legend!
Looks like it’s called Soukaigi. I never heard of it either, but seems like it wasn’t released in the Americas.
>almost immediately robbed.
Wow, they’re digging deep. Who knows, maybe next we’ll see a revival of Einhander or a remaster of Brave Fencer Musashi. Mid to late 90s was a great period for Square imo - their games were all over the map in terms of genre and style, but almost all of them still surprisingly solid and enjoyable. It was like... see…
