I’m on Windows 7 and when the free Windows 10 upgrade was first announced I was like “Wow cool, a freebie!”. But I found out that in Windows 10 they are intentionally dropping Windows Media Center support, with the generally accepted reasoning being that they wanted to push that functionality into the Xbox One. WMC is

Toss up between The Long Dark (gotta bolster my resolve and finally venture out of Mystery Lake) or The Flame in the Flood where I’m working through a perma-death playthrough. And of course Puzzle and Dragons because 480 stamina per day can’t be allowed to go to waste.

One thing worth mentioning - at least in the lowest difficulty setting, I haven’t tried the harder settings yet - Aesop’s (the dog) inventory carries over when you die, ie if you’re on a downward spiral towards death with no foreseeable escape, you can sack away your best 6 items to the dog, bite the bullet and die,

I cannot wait for the Long Dark story mode coming Soon(tm). I’ve super enjoyed the survival mode and I can envision a lot of interesting ways to layer some lore and characters on top of that.

RE: eqg - I’ll just leave this here:

God help me they just changed it from a 5 minute wait per energy (for 288 total per day) to a 3 minute wait per energy (480! per day!). It’s nigh impossible to keep up. Maybe that’s what motivated the robot ?

Hank Hill would like a word with you Mr. Luckey.

People seem to like Eternal Senia, going by Steam reviews. Haven’t gotten around to playing it myself but it sort of looks like Legend of Zelda + RPG elements + visual novel.

Heheh, was funny to see the like 0.2 second clip of Undertale mixed in there with all the full 3D rendered games.

I have a Gameboy SP in active use solely for playing the original Gameboy Tetris cartridge. Boots instantly and no login required = P

Designers seem to not know what they’re doing when it comes to mechanics most of the time. Back when we had gear reforging they didn’t like it because of the complex math to optimize the stats and the add ons that cropped up that helped to do that math well and quickly. Now the garrison/shipyard is basically just more

Yeah, as soon as they said Valor points were coming back (and tried to sell that as a good thing no less) we all knew it was going to be a long time before new content...

They call me Gato,

But that difference is a huge one. Rather than having to remember which button slides the top menu selector vs which button slides the sub-menu selector vs. which buttons interact with the actual menu you’re looking at - you just tap the thing you want on the screen and it just works.

100% agree on the Pip Boy app. It is a great addition to the game but hardly anyone mentions it. Yes, it has a barrier to entry as not everyone is going to have a nice tablet to run it on, but it’s existence alone is a pretty big indicator that Bethesda is aware that the in-game Pip Boy is not all that easy to

So many articles and reviews coming in from all over but barely any make mention of the Pip Boy companion app. The menus that are a bit clunky to navigate with a keyboard/mouse are a joy to navigate using a touch screen.

My one big “wish it had this” was that you would auto-win in combat if your level far exceeds that of the enemies you run in to, much like in Earthbound. I loved this mechanic and can’t fathom why more games don’t add it.

Not to be grotesque, but your last statement is false and it takes not too much thought to realize why.

So you’re in the clear here because you didn’t reveal when your coverage was coming out, which you cannot do until tomorrow. But you did reveal that you cannot reveal when you will reveal your coverage (but we do now know your coverage won’t come out until at least Monday).

I am able to use it during boot to select the various startup options (hit delete to enter bios, hit F8 to bring up the boot device menu, etc). When in the bios menu I can do things as normal. It is somewhat de-featured in this setting though, until I get into Windows the keyboard lighting remains off. Probably it
