I second this. Seems just about every game that leveraged the Gamebryo engine suffered from scripting bugs, odd collision and clipping, things getting stuck, etc. I've got high hopes for Skyrim's new engine.

The first thing I did when I got my copy of Portal 2 was link my steam and PSN accounts so I could get access to the PC copy. On one hand I'm glad I did because as I understand it people can't get their PC/steam copy now with the PSN down. On the other hand I'm wondering if I've now had both my Steam and PSN login

"The PSN breach has resulted in the personal information of over 70 million PSN users."

I've recently played through Diablo and am playing through Diablo 2 in order to get pumped for D3, and I have to agree, the story is awesome. The cinematic videos especially still hold up well today, 10+ years later. My guess is it's the multiplayer folks who are deep into the loot gathering since you can show it

Maybe 5-6 years ago I would have been more inclined to agree with this stance, but these days I think the "too expensive" argument holds up a bit better, especially given current pricing trends. Today any "major" title will always launch in the $50-$60 price range like it would be a sin not to and then seemingly

Aww. I had almost forgotten about my tetrino collection. Now I have to go use them or I'll feel bad. LINE PIECE GO!

That's actually what it says at the start in Katakana. Katakana is great because 9 times out of 10 you can just read it and know what it is. "Ni-n-te-n-do-mi-no".

"Fifteen Years Later Dragonrealms Still Soldiers On". Or even better "Twenty Years Later Gemstone Still Soldiers On". Both of these games continue today with a dedicated player base and community, and every so often I renew for a few months to revisit the world of Elanthia. To this day nothing beats a Simutronics

Trophies are a scourge and a crutch for game development. In the Time Before Trophies good games would reward if you grinded a ton of monsters / survived the brutal gauntlet / collected all of the cards / explored all the areas. You would get a tidbit of information that enriched your knowledge about the game world,

In the words of Fry: Shut up and take my money!

LG may not have their name prominently displayed on a bunch of high profile products, but they make tons and tons of stuff. They won't go be going anywhere soon.

Same thing happened to Age of Conan as well. Rapid server addition and a few months later server mergers. If there isn't a mass exodus of players out of Rift in 3-4 months time I might give it a look. Until then no way.

I agree with you here. I don't know that I would tell someone straight to their face to "shape the fuck up.", but the game is a farce in many ways. I understand they are trying to get a point across about the difficulties of low income families, and having come up in a family that was low income and was fortunate

@F-1: Give ca.kotaku.com a try.

@wohdin: Crono does have all of two lines in one of the endings. There's a very narrow window to get the ending in question as well, basically you go and defeat Lavos in between two events that usually occur back to back. It's a sort of non-ending where Lucca and Marle take turns commenting on the men in the game,

If there isn't one already, they need a figure based on that moonkin art. Because everyone knows moonkin are the best.

Sign me up. It's looking like they took the fun investigative aspects of playing Jayden in Heavy Rain, dropped them into Jazz era Los Angeles, multiplied it, and then added in GTA style gunplay. Sold.

@excel_excel: Shouldn't that be "some things in moderation" ... ? Including everything is not very moderate ;-)

@Amnesiac85: I only ever managed Death with a III powered up boomerang. Then just throw throw throw and hope it's enough to fend off Death's scythes from shredding Belmont to pieces. If I couldn't get there with a full powered boomerang I would just give up.

Someone has to link that clip from The Boondocks right?
