I knew this would show up somewhere. Hat tip to you, sir.
Isn't that for Firefox issues, rather than LifeHacker site issues?
Earlier this week, there was a openthread comment thread about an issue in Firefox that has since been fixed. For future reference, is there somewhere in particular we should submit bug reports and the like?
This is true. For comics like that, actually, I tend to make my own RSS feeds using a service like [www.feed43.com] - check it out and see what you think. :)
Yeah, I'd really recommend an RSS reader for news blogs, etc. Especially with google reader, you can categorize the feeds into folders or tags - so if you really need to only read one group, it's easy.
It really is. I use something similar for Greader ([userscripts.org]) and it makes it so much easier to spot what you're looking for.
Good call, glad I looked here before I tried it. I tried to add a discussion to the script to let the author know of this fix (you can just add a line instead of modifying the existing one, to keep existing compatibility), but I'm getting the monkey/cat server error at the moment. Maybe later.
There are actually a number of greasemonkey scripts that do the same thing - check out [userscripts.org] , and search something like "google reader preview" into the search for many more. That particular one even has a keyboard shortcut to go with it.
Let's put it this way: I have a hotkey that opens the sites that I use on a regular basis, and those sites are Facebook, Gmail, Gcal, and Greader. And I block most "Social Reader" apps from my feed.
For anyone looking for a darker, but still compact style, [userstyles.org] is pretty slick.
I'm not sure if it works for 'social reader' in particular, but for the various news services (Huffington Post, etc.), I've got a small greasemonkey script that I put together here:
+1 for Everything. Plus, not using Windows search means that you can turn off indexing entirely - which actually speeds everything up a bit.
Heh, I just cut off one side of earbuds when they stop working anyways. It can be quite useful to have just one ear.
I'm going to be slightly entertained if this makes handheld mirrors the latest addition to anti-anti-rioter gear.
I really only put it on my lap if it's for a short time - extended use, just use one of my many textbooks.
Do you click the 'keep me signed in' box when you do log in? If you don't, then this might have something to do with that there's not an integrated sign-in box on iGoogle - it takes you to a separate sign-in page.
Oh thank god. Thank you lifehacker, for fixing annoyances I didn't think to fix! :)
I still just prefer to add lines to my autohotkey scripts. You can do about anything you need there.
Ah. Thanks for that. I use Web Developer already, so I didn't think to look under that menu.
