Changing companies seems to be the only thing that makes a real difference these days. I’ve worked for 3 companies in the last 4 years (just started at the third) and have gotten near or around 50% increases with each change.

Here’s the ideal schedule in my mind if you can get away with it: get there in the morning just before anyone is likely to take notice that you’re not there. Take lunch at 1 (it helps the day go by faster but more importantly no one bothers you from 12-1 and then 1-2 you’re eating). Leave after just about everyone
