Yes, prices change because of supply and demand. But raising taxes on rich people instead of poor people isn't going to devalue our currency. That's nonsense. Letting poor people keep their money means that they'll spend it (unlike the uber-rich, who will just sit on it). Money being spent creates jobs. Spending money

"Yep, close to 50% of households pay NOTHING."

So don't read the non-game articles. You know, in the same way that you don't read articles about games for systems you don't own.

If I cared enough to submit an entry, I'd make her into a horse. (Heard this clip on RadioLab)

Also, most of that post was only specifically addressing the identity theft metaphor that was used in the article.

As you say, most trademarks are simple phrases. The phrase "Elder Scrolls" was trademarked by Zenimax, not the word "Scrolls." My point was that 'Scrolls' is a common enough word (especially in the fantasy genre) that it shouldn't be protected by a trademarked phrase that happens to include that word.

The analogy to our own names being used for identity theft is a bad one. First, "Scrolls" and "The Elder Scrolls" aren't the same. That's more akin to someone named "George" trying to pass himself off as "George Clooney."

Wait, Spiderman's in this game? GOD DAMMIT! WHERE WAS THE "SPOILERS" WARNING!!!

Mogwai is another good atmospheric band, depending on the track (some of their tracks would definitely not suit the purpose). "RU Still In 2 It" is a good one, as is "New Paths To Helicon"

No love for 2560X1440? :(

I'm guessing you didn't watch the video. This isn't funded by tax dollars (which is what I assume you mean by "pork spending"). The developers had to raise the money themselves. Hence the kickstarter.

Is that Anderson Cooper at 0:34? Is he the villain? If so, I'll definitely buy this.

Thanks. Maybe for next year they should replace Gus Johnson with the "Greg Jennings put da team on his back" guy. :D

I've had a very different experience with Madden, Owen.

I found the reviews helpful. Before this year, I hadn't bought the last couple versions of Madden. After hearing about the new features, I used reviews to determine whether the changes were well-implemented. The reviews said that they were, so I bought the game.

They could implement strong disincentives for killing civilians. Like rank demotion, handicapped response times/weapon availabilities, slower accrual of experience points, or even "being court marshaled for war crimes" (being temporarily blocked from playing online).

I do admit it. :)

This is the age of TiVo, Netflix, Hulu and Torrenting. You don't need to fit yourself to the TV's schedule, you can watch really good stuff whenever you want it. You don't like crap TV? Don't watch crap TV. But if you ignore all of TV you're missing out on some wonderful stuff.

I think this is a good list. I'm using many of these apps, though, so perhaps I'm biased. :)
