I'm not sure why my previous comment is still pending approval. My point is valid, inoffensive, and adds to the discussion.

First, thank you for linking to your old article on "How to Make a Rape Joke." Really, really great.

That makes a lot of sense. And, judging by all the reviews and positive buzz I've read, it seems to have paid off!

I find the way the beta test is characterized in the article to be troubling. It reads as though those beta testers who gave the game the highest ratings were listened to the most. Didn't that run the risk of creating an echo-chamber effect? And mightn't that have ultimately hidden flaws in the game?

When I clicked on the link I was at least hoping for a "getting the munchies" reference.

Turns out they're singles. http://datecamp.tv/index.php/retreats-and-camps/ I doubt that they make you kiss people you're unattracted to, though, it's probably more getting experience chit-chatting and not freaking out during dinner. The vibe I get is that it's like those Pickup Artist camps, but less sketchy.

I love how the first video was "advanced kissing techniques" and they didn't even french kiss.

Team Fortress 2, Huntsman

I was going to buy this game, but then I heard about the always-on DRM and the super-small city size limit, and decided to pass on it. Maybe I'll buy it in a year or two if it's on sale for $5, but probably not even then.

If you look at page 13 of the Loose Cannon comic, released back in July 2010, on the piece of paper that says "Life Extender Machine" you can see that the Engineer's grandfather built 3 life extender machines, one each for Redmond and Blutarch (which were detailed in the comic) and then a third one for someone whose

I KNOW. I was going to post the same thing.

It should be part of a two panel meme, the first being the Ash with the abs (5th from the end).

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Although I don't think it really is a first world problem: people hurt/kill each other for almost no reason no matter where one is in the world. I will grant you that the technology bent is a twist on this, but I've been chastised by people from Africa for assuming that the third

Or, if you have a modified t-shirt cannon like me, you can shoot people WITH video games

Getting shot at and stabbed is a first world problem?

Aw, I was hoping this was a video of someone breaking the glass and stealing toys.

All of my information about Windows 8 has come second-hand from blog entries (some of which were linked to by lifehacker) and videos demonstrating the new interface. I did not download the preview to experience it myself. If my information is wrong, so be it. I defer to your expertise.

It is simpler, but at the cost of functionality. For example, you cannot sort files by other than name or date in Metro. The start menu (with its hierarchy of folders) is gone; instead there is just a mass of tiles. This is true also about the windows emulation mode (you have to go back to Metro to open anything).

"The most important message I want you to understand is this: Windows 8 is not Windows. Although Microsoft calls it Windows, and a lot of Windows code may still be present under the hood, Windows 8 is a completely new operating system in every way that matters to users. It looks different, it works differently, and

Nuh-uh, it is OBVIOUSLY Starcraft III
