I can confirm that I paid $49.94+tax this morning for the game from my local Walmart.

Total agreement. I was just responding to Magpie.

I’m talking about release day games being discounted by $10 immediately at Walmart. I ended up buying Super Mario Maker 2 for $50 at Walmart on release day. For some reason, the markdown only occurs in store and you can’t get it online. I know it sounds crazy, but go to your local Walmart on release day to see if you

Nah they're just emulated they're not even ports. Shouldn't be $60. They just threw an emulator on a card and slapped a nintendo logo on it and asked for 60 bucks

By limiting the sale window, Nintendo guarantees that this game will be bought by at least half of their user base.  Then the game is gone forever and whoever wants it will have to pay a boat load adding to the “Brand Value” that Nintendo values so much.  It’s bullshit, but its brilliant bullshit designed to

Walmart for some reason has been discounting most new games by $10 for a while now. You might be able to get it from there for $50.

But Metroid Prime Trilogy is still available on Wii U digital shop for $20.

I got it at that price thanks to Canary Islands regulation on taxes

I had wanted to buy Super Mario Sunshine, and I was expecting I’d pay 40 bucks for it when I caught wind it was coming out a few months ago. So I suppose getting two other games with it for 20 bucks more is not entirely bad when I can just think I paid 40 for Sunshine and 10 each for 64 and galaxy. Given Im not

Greedy Nintendo. They’re not fans of bargain bin prices on their first party titles. How is Breath of the Wild still 59.99 in late 2020? It should at least be a standard price of 39.99 by now. Any other game company would have had sales where it’s 19.99 by now. Maybe we need Switch Classics? but knowing Nintendo

I agree wholeheartedly that the limited window is BS.

Super Mario All Stars:

That one is still available digitally on Wii U...until they do a Switch port then they might remove it from the store.

As a Mexican, I will say that if it’s offensive to you, stand by that, if it’s not offensive to you, stand by that, and if you’re a company who hears that enough people are not on board with something like this that you no longer feel comfortable about it and you want to wipe it off the board, stand by that as well.

ha thank you! was about to post the same. You would have thought that community poll we all filled out would inspire them, but obviously their evil overlords forced this pile... I dreamed of working for them when I was a kid.. now they’re absolute rotten garbage.. I’m not salty XD

Re: Black female Nintendo characters — Chiming in that Kate Alen of F-Zero X in 1998 may take the “first” title here.

Kate Alen in F-Zero X (N64, 1998) is a black female pilot! There is also a (human) James McCloud in the game.

This game (and this TV show) are a gift during these trying times.

200cc can be brutal! It made me remember that Mario kart has brakes. Very satisfying when you win though :)
